Jamie Moore has to sit it out...
Jamie Moore will have to wait 12 months for a rematch with Michael Jones after losing his appeal with the Board.
Moore was controversially disqualified when defending his British title against Jones last month at Altrincham.
The 26-year-old Salford southpaw wanted an immediate rematch, but the Board have made him mandatory challenger instead, allowing Jones to make a voluntary defence in the next six months before he has to face Moore within another six-month timescale.
"I feel let down by the British Board of Control," said a disappointed Moore.
"They told me the voting was very close between offering me an immediate rematch and making me a mandatory challenger but that's no good to me.
"Considering the circumstances, and that I proved there wasn't time for me to stop throwing the punch, I'm disappointed with the decision. All it means is I will have to wait 12 months rather than the 18 Jones would make me wait."

Good ol' board of control. Don't you just love em?
Such a bright bunch eh?
Moore should just get on with it and face Jones when he gets the chance. I mean, it's not as if he hasn't already beat him and he was well on top in their rematch.
If Jamie really wants a bit of revenge, surely should be looking for some revenge over Ossie Duran?

It all going to be very difficult for the matchroom fighters after tonights show,as the TV dates have run out.
Dont be suprised though if Jones fights moore next time out. Both have the same promoter why let someone in like Mc Donut who fights for SN? makes sense to keep the title in the house.
Its a shame because i feel Matchroom make the better fights 60/40,50/50 whereas SN 80/20,70/30.
