"He doesn't have the technical ability to beat someone as fast and as experienced as me," said Haye, who has 21 wins from 22 professional fights.
"There are certain aspects of his game that are very effective, he's got a very good and fast jab, a double jab, he throws a nice upper cut. But he's going to need a lot more than those three shots to beat me.
"He's an ugly type of fighter, he tries to lean on you, tries to brawl and comes out with a really hairy chest that gets matted and is disgusting.
"I've never been a big fan of the matted hair in my face. The size I am, I sort of come up to his chest and apparently the word around the campfire is that he doesn't smell too sweet.
"I've talked to a few guys that have been in the ring with him and they say that's the first thing they notice, just the stench.
"Hopefully he runs a cold tap over himself or someone hoses him down outside before he comes in."

Fat? How is Valuev fat?
Re: Haye says valuev stinks
have you seen his stomach and his large boobs he's far from lean and toned
Re: Haye says valuev stinks
neither were the likes of tim witherspoon, but the boy could box.Adamj1987 wrote:have you seen his stomach and his large boobs he's far from lean and toned
valuev is not fat no way, a big lump yes, but not fat. do you want to see him trim down to 16 stone?
Is Haye-Valuev really worth paying for?
After thinking about it and blocking out all David Hayes' Muhammed Ali promoting antics insulting the opponent etc is this really worth paying out a few hours wages for? Also the undercard so far is absolutely terrible and with only two and a bit weeks till fight time that doesn't look like changeing a whole lot.
On the fight itself I really cant see Haye getting to Valuev and expect it to be a boring jab jab jab UD win for Valuev, I think he will have learned his lesson from the Chagaev fight and also I think a lot of people are forgetting Haye is a Cruiserweight moving up to the big boys where he has only had a few fights before, he knocked out Barrett-so what, so did the Cuban prospect Solis..He knocked out Bonin-look at his record..

Who is on the undercard?
Re: Is Haye-Valuev really worth paying for?
so far its only John Ruiz vs journeyman and a German prospect fighting over 6 rounds. I can't see any decent British card on the Boxrec schedule that could be factored into it either.alexpaterson wrote:Who is on the undercard?

I will still probably buy it but that is a rubbish undercard for a world title fight ![[icon_witsend.gif] :witzend:](./images/smilies/icon_witsend.gif)
Re: Is Haye-Valuev really worth paying for?
I'll speak to my mate Justin for this one me thinks.
I begrudge paying for boxing on Sky as we blow enough dink on subs per month anyway, without having our pants down for anything remotely worth watching on top of that monthly amount.
I wasn't overly chuffed with £15 for the Super Six, but at least we got 2 decent fights (on paper) plus some domestic action.
But to watch some Germans, John Ruizzzz and then the main event for £15 large, is a bit pale in comparison.

'Domestic action'? That's pushing it a bit, isn't it?G0mez wrote:I'll speak to my mate Justin for this one me thinks.

The Hennessy bile before the Froch-Dirrell fight was awful. Can't believe we had to sit through that before the main event. I never thought I'd say it, but I was actually missing Tyson Fury on Saturday night.

You expect a valuev UD? Lol
Re: Is Haye-Valuev really worth paying for?
just my opinion mate, can't see Haye getting at Valuev and Valuev seems to have lost a little bit of power in his big punches so don't think he will knock out Haye..Now whats your opinion so I can laugh at yours?Riddick Blowe wrote:You expect a valuev UD? Lol

Re: Is Haye-Valuev really worth paying for?
Sorry, it just seems to be a bit of a strange prediction considering it would depend on Haye's glass chin staying out of danger for all 12 rounds. If Valuev is going to have success to the extent of deserving a decision, it would mean Haye took some shots off the giant, and he has shown nothing to suggest he is capable of this.
My prediction is Valuev KO for this reason. Haye will land some, but this ain't Enzo Maccarinelly he's up against, Valuev isn't going anywhere and he's just as likely to tire out Haye by just exerting his physicality as he is by landing big shots.

I'm gunna try & get the local boozer to buy it, usually with stuff like this (Hatton-PBF, Khan-MAB), they buy it then the locals who watch it usually just put a few quid a piece in to cover costs oh 'n' spend a bomb buying ale. Being on a Saturday night you cant fail can ya, pub will be busy, people know fight is on & will stop to watch it

Definate ko win for valuev i think, haye will be having a go unlike holyfield and will get tagged maybe even in the 1st round, either way i can't see haye winning this fight.Riddick Blowe wrote:Sorry, it just seems to be a bit of a strange prediction considering it would depend on Haye's glass chin staying out of danger for all 12 rounds. Good points but I'm a stubburn mofo and I'll stick by my UD. We will meet back here after the fight and see if either of us was rightRiddick Blowe wrote:Sorry, it just seems to be a bit of a strange prediction considering it would depend on Haye's glass chin staying out of danger for all 12 rounds. Re: Is Haye-Valuev really worth paying for?
I see Haye getting the early round's boxing but Valuev's size and strength wearing Haye down in the middle rounds and then Valuev getting to Haye late KO'ing him
Re: Is Haye-Valuev really worth paying for?
Even my old man has called me an idiot for predicting an UD for Valuev. Maybe I have made a bad shout on this one but I love proving people wrong, Im still not paying to watch it mind you!
Re: Is Haye-Valuev really worth paying for?
I'm really unsure on the result, it would be an awesome spectacle to see Valuev go timbeeeer, but I can't see it. Gonna buy it though just out of curiosity, whether it be a new dawn in the HW division or the end of Haye's assault. I find this fight really intriguing
Re: Is Haye-Valuev really worth paying for?
Haway lads, ffs.
Charismatic British chinny-banger goes abroad to fight giant for a version of the heavyweight title?
Absolutely.

Re: Is Haye-Valuev really worth paying for?
Yes it is worth paying for. Much more worthy of £15 than Khan prescott or Hatton Urango ...
7 ft + Heavyweight whos only lost once in 51 fights against a potential new star of british boxing, who could take home the biggest prize in boxing "heavyweight world champion".
If he does win, who thinks the sun will run with HAYEVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD probably hyphonated to Haye-vyweight so we all understand.
