Re: Whats next for 2 SMOOTH?
Really he still isn't a full super bantam, so if the fight with Rendall Munroe isn't going to happen to due friendship , then why not Malik Bouziane for the EBU Bantam title.
I'm sure Maloney could get him over here

Re: Whats next for 2 SMOOTH?

jason has impressed me so much since his 2 year break...i know he has been through so much but he seems to have used it to his advantage and come back a better boxer..i am chuffed for the lad, deserves it all...i dont want to see him rush into a world title fight though, get the european at either Bantam or super bantam (once rendall beats malodrottu and gives it up) and then see where he goes from there...hope to watch more poetry in motion from 2smooth for a long time to come
Re: Whats next for 2 SMOOTH?
to be honest booth could school cordoba.cordoba isn't the greatest boxer.would be an interesting fightalexpaterson wrote:Great performance by him tonight I would like to see him fight Cordoba it's a fight he could win and would put his name onto the world scene imo

Thats why I think it would be a good fight for Booth as Cordoba is a respected name and I feel Booth has the beating off him and could do it impressivlygemmell wrote:to be honest booth could school cordoba.cordoba isn't the greatest boxer.would be an interesting fightalexpaterson wrote:Great performance by him tonight I would like to see him fight Cordoba it's a fight he could win and would put his name onto the world scene imo

He's a pleasure to watch, isn't he?
Re: Whats next for 2 SMOOTH?
Booth looked tremendous tonight. Slick, strong, aggressive, but controlled. Not too much by way of resistance after the first couple of rounds, but Hunter would have had to have been virtually back to his best tonight to give Booth an argument, and he was a long way short of that.Ian 'Mr' McNeilly wrote:I think you've answered your own question mate.gemmell wrote:jason booth looked pure class.hunter is past it but still punch perfect performance.munroe will vacate if he wins in november.then surely maloney will get booth a shot at the european.i love watching him.not just because he's a nottingham lad.he's a top bloke.who was a full on alcaholic for 3 years.now look at him.he is so hard to hit and has top class skill's with an iron chin.what's next for him then?![]()

Booth in great shape at 34, pleasing to see after his chequered past. Given plenty of appreciation afterwards by the crowd too. I hope he makes himself a nice little nest egg.

Same here. He's one of the good guys, you feel. Always very honest in his post fight interviews too.NorthEastBoxingFan wrote:Booth looked tremendous tonight. Class act.
Re: Whats next for 2 SMOOTH?
Im only repeating what has already ben said on this topic but Booth is looking real class. Its great to see, bit of a phoneix from the flames.
He looks strong at the weight as well. Im really impressed with the kid and its such a shame he has to wait for his mate Rendall to give up (or lose) the title before he'll get his shot.
One of my favourite operators to watch at the moment.

Jesus, Cordoba gets beaten by Dunne and he becomes Booth fodder
Re: Whats next for 2 SMOOTH?
Cordoba would put an unholy whooping on Jason Booth, he beats a decrepid old Michael Hunter and he's suddenly world class. F**k me lads, get a grip.thepocketrocket wrote:Jesus, Cordoba gets beaten by Dunne and he becomes Booth fodder

Re: Whats next for 2 SMOOTH?
cordoba would get a hiding from Booth mate. Stop trying to make Dunne look better than he is. Booth would easily beat Dunne. I'd give Booth a chance against Poonsawat too. He certainly wouldn't look like the absolute MUG that Dunne looked. Completely out of his depth and ended up looking way way overmatched as soon as Poonsawat turned it up a level. If any of those fights were made, I'd have real cash on Booth.Badass wrote:Cordoba would put an unholy whooping on Jason Booth, he beats a decrepid old Michael Hunter and he's suddenly world class. Re: Whats next for 2 SMOOTH?
Booth himself said he'd like to move into world level , but at Bantamweight.
I still think that he should be looking at a euro title shot at that weight. Malik Bouziane holds the title and is a good operator, but i think Booth would beat him , home advantage would be a help as well.
The world title holders at Superbantam are good, very good in fact, Caballero, Lopez, Nishioka and Poonsawat.
I can't see Booth beating those guys, he would do ok but these guys are to big for him.
At Bantam you've got Joseph Agbeko who has looked good last time out, Hozumi Hasegawa from Japan who most of us have never heard of , he's actually made 9 defences of his title. Fernando Montiel another long term world champion. Anselmo Moreno is no slouch either , having made 5 defences.
So looking at all those guys, its hard to see Booth winning a world title, but he would give each of them a good fight.

Best pound for pound fighter in the UK right now.
Yes, I said that out loud.
Would a scaled up 168 pound Booth beat Froch?
I think he'd push him close.

Re: Whats next for 2 SMOOTH?
A real late developer is Booth. If only he would have boxed now as he was a youngster. He used to fight like a mini Ricky Hatton without the power in his youth. Now he is showing what a sweet boxer he is.
Got un finished business with Napa..... I like to see him have a good go at Super Bantam... and if unsucessful, drop back down. I think he has years left in him.
