Found this article on Gilbert , sounds like he's doing ok.
Forget the McClellen fight when he was stopped in a round, before that Gilbert was one of the toughest boxers around, he had a great chin.

Interesting. Thanks for posting. I remember Baptist from his earlier years, when he gave Terry Norris a good fight, got a TKO over a future champion from France and went the distance in Italy against Rosi for the IBF junior middleweight title. If I remember correctly, he lost a close, questionable decision to future champion Vincent Pettway in the early 1990s as well. He must have had a good chin to go the distance with Norris, Pettway and Hopkins
