Tszyu can draw 40'000 down under. He will not be dictated too which seems to be what Franks doing. He's being very pushy about this. Its just the kind of thing that would annoy Tszyu and make him look at other options.
Arum has repeated his offer of sending Cotto over to meet Hatton in Manchester ( cue panic stations at SN head office )
Also Uncle Bob says Cotto is willing to travel to Oz, to accommodate Tszyu.
With Gatti and Floyd looking doubtful, the Aussie camp are probably going to see Hatton as the easier, and better paid option...
Hatton hasn’t even proven he’s best in England as far as accomplishments go; the records of Mitchell, Harris, Corley, Cotto, Gatti, Gregorian, Leija & Spadafora are all more impressive that Hatton’s.
No way are they below him.

Frankie loves when it rains in the UK. (IMO)
thats what kostya said. he doesnt have to fight hatton until august. i expect the fight to happen but it probably will happen in august/summer time. Before then i see Kostya trying to get a fight with mayweather or gatti
if this does happen who should hatton fight as he last warm up? my picks would be n'dou or urkal

urkal would be a good fight but i suspect he is either retired or definately too expensive..... He made good money in Germany defended his euro crowd and challenging Tzsyu for the world title.... he isnt gonna come to manchester for what Frank will offer him
I would also dispute Gatti's record actually, being better than Hatton's as a light-welterweight that is.
There overall records are better than Hattons maybe not at 140 but Lieja has fought some of the greats. Gatti has fought much better opposition.
I knew someone would bite!
Who has Gatti fought better than Hattons opposition? Not sure about Branco, Dorin is pretty much the same Hatton-type opponent, ex-Lightweight champ etc and 3 fights against Micky Ward, however great they were, are not fights against genuine world class opposition.
Jesse James Leijla is geniune world class who actually seems to be on an upward curve despite his age.
Micky Ward was in the top ten in most independent rankings also, was Phillips? Tackie? Oliveria? Stewart? Magee? - The answer is no.
I just don't see much difference in those Hatton opponents you mention and the few Gatti has fought at Light-Welter. Tackie and Phillips to me is the same if not a better win than Leija, Micky Ward got beaten anytime he looked at a top ten fighters record on Boxrec.
Fair enough, Gatti has the WBC title so he's the man, I just think people get a little carried away because of the excitement he creates.
Jesse James Leijla gave tszyu MUCH more problems than Mitchell did and also beat Bojado. Phillips, Tackie etc haven't come close to anything like that form in recent years.
I know what your getting at, but I would still say Ward and Leijla are better than any of Hatton's opponents.
When Bennie did his infamous Hatton's next opponent is Ward "exclusive" everyone went nuts saying "toughest fight of Hattons' career by miles". The same fighter you now saying was never top ten material.

What about DeLaHoya or is he the same as Phillips Tackie etc. Even getting beaten badly by an alltime champ is better than fighting hand picked opponents.

Thing was, that was 18 months ago (The Ward next for Hatton thing). And yes I am saying he was never top 10, at least if he ever breiefly was it was the very bottom reaches.
Hatton-Ward would have been big for the same reason Gatti-Ward was, excitement, exchanging body shots etc.

Not disputing that dude, was just talking about purely as a Light-Welterweight and nothing else.
If we're talking pound for pound then Hatton and Gatti aren't even playing the same sport, let's not forget Gatti's exploits back at Super-Feather!
It's a bit like when I used to have the Lennox vs Holyfield row with people. It was always my opinion that when judged purely on their acheivements and ability at Heavyweight then surely Lennox was the man?
However considering Holyfield was fighting god knows how many stones above his natural weight then in some kind of all-time pound for pound rating I could well justify Holyfield's placing above Lennox Lewis.
