Fair play to Ryan Rhodes, could have easily folded under that early walk down pressure from Moore the first few rounds but you could tell he really wanted it, and was willing to grit his teeth and fight back....Great credit to both for a great fight, love this sport sometimes....!

I layed Jamie Moore at 1.06 in running aswell so am extra pleased!

Moore was blowing in the corner coming out for 5th and 6th, he is very very big at the weight, but the first knockdown, that was a hell of a punch.

Very surprised by this result. Well done Rhodes, a shot at a world title beckons, amazing.

Hope Moore can rebound. You look at the Andy Lees of the world. They get battered, then they get further opportunities, like nothing has happened.

Interview quotes

Moore "I was beat fair and square, he performed out of his skin....I don't want to say weight was an issue"
Rhodes "both of us could have gone different routes but we choose to fight eachother....2 best light middleweights in Britian.... hopefully i can go on to a world title"

Both respectful classy guys

Thought it was a good stoppage.

Huge credit to Moore in the way he conducted himself in the post fight interview. No excuses and gave Rhodes well deserved credit.

Rhodes showed real bottle in there and a solid chin too. What a fight.

would love to see a rematch , i had moore winning every round until he got caught

rhodes gets credit here , he was beginning to take a beating and he came back

good luck in the world title bid ryan rhodes , you deserve evreything you get - the comeback king

moore if he comes back (and hes still young enough) should go to 160 , as mentioned in rhodes interview , he should have a few fights then fight macklin

great fight

was this one domestic fight too many for Jamie Moore - a guy who wanted to move upward before the Matthew Macklin fight?

Feel bad for Moore. Who will want to fight him?

There was nothing wrong with that stoppage, Moore was completely helpless in there, crouching and not blocking the incoming shots.

Agreed and tellingly Moore didn't complain, thats usually an indication of a good stoppage.....

Gutted - Stuck in a hotel in Athens and saw nothing on any streams -

I have never had a stream that works.

Have sky + it, but not the same when you know the result.

Has to be Rhodes v Small now.

Aye, to be fair first impression stoppage was early.

On reflection just about right.

Brilliant brilliant fight.

Think I may have had Rhodes KO7 in the prediction league as well

Rhodes' chin stood well against Moores' shots, and it looked like Moores gassed himself a little.

Rhodes put Moores down and then hurt him again, backing him against the ropes and the ref jumped in.
Thanks fella :TU:
I'm really happy for Rhodes - to think this was the same man whose career looked dead and buried seven years ago when he got stopped by Blundell... talk about a Renaissance man.
Also happy for the likes of Twenty Six who've stood by him all this time and championed him on the forum - I hope they're now having a good a time as I suspect they are.
Just a shame that it had to be Moore on the losing end but I'm sure he'll come again.

I thought he had a double with Moore and Napa?? `

It was actually a great bet because Moores price went right down and I started trading immediately. I was all green on moore and nothing on Rhodes so I actually won nothing.

Should have stuck to my guns initially though. I always thought Rhodes was going to do him from the moment the fight was signed and said so on here. Watched Rhodes vs Blundell today and got some doubts.

Could have made a killing.
