Gutted you lost BUT this is not as bad as you might be feeling today. Great fight from you both. Middleweight next? Macklin seems a great guy and a real competitor so that is an avenue right there.
Stylewise don't think Rhodes beats Martinez but if he gets the fight and does win then rematch with you is a natural. Dont take the loss too hard.
With your style and willingness to give the fans what they want the doors will open.
Hate to see a Boxrec guy lose but thanks for giving us the fight!
And remember DG only speaks the truth! Excuse the pun but there is Moore to come!

Jamie Moore - considering all the furious rallies you have made in your career, I have no doubt you'll be back - perhaps stronger than ever. Will it be as a middleweight? - noticed in an online interview you said in a couple of fights' time you'd have to move up.
Come back soon, and get stuck in with them body shots, you warrior!
I don't really post here on Boxrec, but feel compelled to do so here.
To me, Jamie Moore is everything that is good about boxing. A ferocious warrior inside the ropes, an absolute gentleman outside.
Jamie Moore has given 100% every time in the ring, in the media, to his fans, and to the online community. More importantly, he goes above and beyond the call of duty every time there is a worthwhile or charitable cause to promote.
This humble, cerebral family man is one of the greatest exponents of this generation of boxing. Walkden, Salford and Greater Manchester should be forever proud to call him one of their own.
I'm Irish, and I like to claim he's partly one of us. Tulleroan in Kilkenny (where his mother Bernadette hails from) is known as hurling country, but Jamie Moore has put it on the map for boxing reasons.
In 20 savage minutes last night, Jamie Moore showed why he has so many fans. Seven rounds of non-stop action, but his reaction after the fight was as classy as I have ever seen in any sport. Fair play to Ryan Rhodes too - another class act.
Jamie Moore will be back. Hopefully at middleweight, where there are many possibilities. He deserves a world title shot for his patience and grace in the past three years. Sebastian Sylvester is there for the taking, while I also think Sturm is beatable. It may take a while, but he can still get to the Promised Land.
It may mean slipping a few quid to the Alphabet Boys for a ranking, but I am still convinced Jamie Moore will have tasted world glory by the time he hangs up the gloves.
Nuthuggery, fanboi, etc - guilty as charged. Jamie Moore is my favourite fighter by a country mile.
Stay classy, champ.
Yours in sport,
Padraig Hoare

or if it's 160lbs then Darren Barker v Jamie Moore. It would be nice to know the truth about making the weight this time, obvioulsy there was some problem there.
Lirva, are you on some bizarre campaign to make yourself the most unpopular poster on this forum?
First of all I am not Lirva, as I have said before.
I've been arguing for a long time that Moore was not good enough to be up there with the elite and that Paul Williams would destroy him. I was laughed at. I have been proved right. I will say as much.

Jamie Moore is a great guy and a great fighter. I know this term gets used with many fighters but he's never in a dull fight.
Last night's fight was an absolute war and a tremendous fight for British Boxing and credit goes to all parties (Frank Maloney, Jamie and Ryan) for getting that fight on and making it such a great fight.
Jamie can definitley come again and hopefully another barnstomer with Matt Macklin at middleweight to come next year
Ta Spud, we have such problems sometimes, with debatable decisions and fighters who come across as idiots. Last night two guys mullered each other, then as soon as the fight ended they shared that respect that only two people who have been in the trenches will understand!
Exactly why I got into boxing, and will be a fan till the day I die
Moments after losing his EBU title and a possible world title shot, Jamie was lifting his conqueror up in the middle of the ring,
In the interview after the fight, he was asked if the weight making hindered him, he answered that he didn't want to make excuses, and was beaten by the better man.
i think that shows why he's held in such high regard by us fans, class in and out of the ring.
As for the future , he may not have to move to middle, sometimes its just a change in diet or nutrition that is needed.
Hope Jamie has a nice holiday with his family first.
I think a rematch should wait. I suspect that Moore may have to move up, he looked absolutely massive compared to Rhodes, and he was blowing in the corner coming out for the 5th. That looked to me like a fighter struggling for stamina at the weight. I may be wrong, but If I'm right then I hope a move up is considered, or changing the diet or training regime somewhere.
I hope Rhodes can get his title shot now - it was an eliminator after all! We all know it doesn't neccessarily work like that, but It would be nice to see justice done for once.
Moore can hold his head up high, he was beaten by the better man on the night, and it was a hell of a performance by Rhodes, executed his gameplan perfectly, and had to show real grit to get through the early storm, and come on strong.
It was a fantastic fight, and both men should be proud to have been a part of it.

Exactly a top post which I completely agree with.
Spot on
I think Moore couldnt beat Rhodes, that is the end of his title dreams, even if he go up to middleweight i dont think he will beat a Macklin or a Barker
jamie moore is a class act and will come again he so so deserves a world title shot !! maybe something wasnt right with the weight i dunno , this is why this sport is unique true class from both men

Why are you maintaining this lie when you've been busted on it completely in the past? Are you just determined to humliiate yourself on a continual basis?
