Re: If Jamie Moore stays at Light Middle....
too seasoned and tough for Hall
good fight v Small, I would pick Moore to break him down
he would be far to strong for Pryce.
Barker v Moore at 160lbs

Word off a good source is that that was Jamie Moores last fight at light middle. Hes been struggling to make the weight for some time now and last night has just confirmed he needs to step up to middleweight.

Did Moore struggle to make 154lbs? If so then I'm a little surprised because I was of the understanding Jamie works closely with Kerry Kayes, who''s knowledge is well known in respect of nutrition & strength training!
Re: If Jamie Moore stays at Light Middle....
i reckon domestic opponent & light middle might be bad news. i mean, facey or mcdonagh for the british title (or whoever).
always did seem to be the issue - had jamie fought too long vs the domestic comp, would he leave his best there. despite WBC elim tag, everyone knows the WBC want to showcase chavez jr in mehico. in other words, this was really a domestic fight, for the Friday Fight Night crowd who wanted a return to great honest fights following loads of cleverly mismatches, and flyweights.
Terry D argued on a different thread that the benn v eubank fights were really domestic fights. i disagreed. i would say this was a domestic fight, moore v rhodes. ryan did great, but this fight was supposed to be a formality for moore, whereas it gave ryan a great opportunity to prove himself on his comeback. jamie seemed to peak in the piccirillo & dzuman fights. is it possible he went a bit stale, that his form went downhill after a tremendous couple of showings.
want to see moore up at middle - more weight behind them body shots! ppl are saying the stamina wasn't there, the snap wasn't there last night. i think from watching the likes of benn, eubank, watson, we've seen how badly weight drain can affect a fighter at these middle sort of weights.

Maybe,as Jamie himself said,Rhodes was the better man. There is no need to look for an excuse as for why he lost,he just did.Autobarn wrote:i reckon domestic opponent & light middle might be bad news. i mean, facey or mcdonagh for the british title (or whoever).

He needs to go to middle, with his first fight at middle should be against Murray, think it would be a right belter or a fight with Butler would also be a good mix up

I don't think I'm giving any secrets away - but the message was loud and clear an hour or so after the fight.
That was Jamie's last at LM.

Good luck at middleweigh- and I look forward to your next fight!
Re: If Jamie Moore stays at Light Middle....
You going to try to get straight into the European Middles Jamie? if they make you fight someone before a shot at Macklin you should look at Craig McEwan, fights out in the states so would get you more profile over there.Mooresy wrote:In response to the title of this thread.....NO CHANCE!!!

Yes warm up or 2 then just want big fights pal, not interested in the domestic scene, was on it too long at LM. At this stage of my career I need big fights to get me motivated.
Ah a Salford lad! Not anymore mate, just round Walkden now.
