Adamek pulling a Dirrell in the second. Running for the second half of the round. Probably still won the round though.

Not really. Adamek was throwing and landing quite a few punches.

yeah maybe a bit harsh....but certainly didnt plant down like in the first.

Reckon Golota took the third. Adamek surprisingly inactive but cant see Golota keeping it up

29-27 Adamek.

Adamek takes the fourth easily. Far more active now and landing some good shots. Golota very quiet, maybe running out of gas already.

39-36 Adamek.

round 5; adamek wins by stoppage set up by a great right hand which put golota down and golota got back up only to take a number of flurry's from adamek.

Golota down, then stopped. Maybe a bit early but he didnt look like he was likely to get back into it.

Good performance from Adamek. Hard to tell how much it proves though. Golota looked shot.

It shows Adamek can hurt a legitimate heavyweight.

That wasn't pleasant to watch, Golota took his lumps , but it was like a scene out of a film, when the old boxer trys once more to recapture something.

Yeah but Golota is so far over the hill. He got put down by Austin in the first in his last time out. I'm sure Haye would have smashed him out of there too.
Although Adamek looked good I hope he goes back to Cruiserweight, he didn't look big enough for a Heavy.

Golota probably shít it in the dressing room so in all honesty it shows nothing.

No doubt, but I expected Golota to put up more of an argument. Adamek did very well.

adamek is a great offensive fighter but he's certainly not afraid to switch off, "wait and see", before asserting himself again. did it in the jon banks fight, another guy he dispatched quite brutally.

don't feel too sorry for him - golota did have 40 pounds on him and a small ring so that adamek would be easier to find. golota gets yet another opportunity, another payday. his name was enough to warrant the chance to beat up a smaller man. but i would say the smaller man is - and always has been - a vastly superior boxer, in terms of skills and toughness.

heck, holyfield v pinklon thomas was unpleasant also, wasn't it? that was one of evander's first heavyweight fights, vs a former champ who could barely lift his arms. it was a nice event for the polish ppl, it gets adamek a heavyweight ranking.

adame did the business, boxed well. it's aways good seeing a ruthless world champ do the business, even in the non title fights (especailly if the non title fights pay better than the title fights).

hopefulyl adamek doesn't go straight into wlad k fight. if he wants that route, he must fight more contenders and get used to heavyweight. this was just stage 1. i'd like him to fight haye, if haye beats valuev. adamek may not need to be badly outweighed to have a chance at beocming a 3 weight champ.

like haye v bonin, adamek (v golota) made his opening statement as a heavyweight. a statement that could lead to big payday at very least. which is more than he's getting at cruisergewicht!

it would be awesome. they have quite similar careers ie success at cruiser, move up and batter a polish heavyweight, perhaps move back down, and eye up heavyweight title in near future...just imagine if it came vs each other. what an amazing fight it would be.

it meant a number of things: it allowed adamek to test waters v bigger man. it got him a heavyweight ranking. it got him a good payday. it probably skyrocketed his stardom in poland (a good market given lack of opportunity in america). he was seen by huge TV audience and probably helped sell out arena. it was an alternative to defending his cruiserweight title on Internet PPV. and it allowed him to be one of the few active elite fighters in boxing today, his 3rd fight this year. and it stops him getting bored at home with his family! LOL

what fighter does not want to have a fight that everyone in their country is talking about?? i'll bet mooresy or macklin would love to get their hands on duddy and batter him in ireland with huge TV audience and massive crowd.
