Hope you get back in the ring soon. You gave it your best and at that pace it was obvious one of you would get stopped. Very even fight which I really enjoyed, respect to you both for a great fight.jrh wrote:jamie your a top pro and a person , and you should be given an oportunity at middle now , and if macklin fights for the world title go for the european and win in in 2 weights , dont think many have done that in this country , true warrioryour mate jono

Re: MOORESY
nobody laughed at you. people simply said "he had a chance" - you've shown yourself to be a complete pudendum in this thread, true colours well and truly shown through. What a w4nker.opticald wrote:First of all I am not Lirva, as I have said before.Deserter wrote:Lirva, are you on some bizarre campaign to make yourself the most unpopular poster on this forum?opticald wrote:Jamie Moore vs Paul Williams...
I've been arguing for a long time that Moore was not good enough to be up there with the elite and that Paul Williams would destroy him. I was laughed at. I have been proved right. I will say as much.

Thanks Terry.
Re: MOORESY!!
It was a great fight, well done Ryan. Looking forward to seeing a replenished Mooresy back in the ring with another 7lbs on him.
Re: MOORESY!!
I have to say that was a very classy post-fight interview from Moore.
It would have been very easy to say it was down to weight, but to not do this and therefore not diminish Rhodes' victory was a very classy move.

Good luck Jamie, you showed your class after the fight. You will come back again!

Re: MOORESY!!
Just a word of caution on the step up in weght division.
People seem to forget Ryan is an UNDEFEATED Light Middleweight.
His 4 defeats all came at the higher division.
Jamie is about 5ft 9 ish ?
Many of the Middleweights are 6ft and more - and I would guess the more experienced come in the ring weighing nearer 12st.
It didn't seem a problem when Ryan first stepped up, but in hindsight perhaps wasn't the best move.
I fully appreciate that boxers often have to give in to what the body is telling them.
I guess what I'm saying is - and I'm sure Jamie and the team will be fully focused on this - that simply making the weight issue easier doesn't necessarily solve everything.
There are some strong, and physically big Middleweights out there.
Having said all of that I will be stunned if Jamie does not prevail.
I would love to see him capture the European Middleweight belt.

Re: MOORESY!!
good points 26 i was thinking about this actually
5'8 isn't ideal for a middleweight IMO
however Moore has developed stylistic versatility so he could do ok
he will probably have to get on the front foot and try to fight inside most of the time
but i could see him doing well tucking up and countering against a pressure fighter like he did in the Macklin performance
will be interesting to see him a a weight where he can't bully other fighters as easily

Re: MOORESY!!
i think many fighters have their height stats doctored. apparently Khoren Gevor - stumpy little bugger at middleweight - is 5'9. he's done alright for himself - european title, gave abraham a decent fight and many feel he beat sturm. and the sawn off prospect Gennady Golovkin is allegedly 5'10 which i cannot believe. i doubt they are any bigger than moore, but you never know until you see the matchup. macklin is really a middle, was a big light middle, and moore did beat him.
isn't arthur abraham only about 5'10 and the fave to win the super 6 tournament. height is one thing, but how you use it is another.
the good thing about Moore is how compact he is and the leverage he gets in his shots. also, maybe i'm wrong. but he seems to have a deceptive reach. those straight lefts that shot into dzuman's and piccirillo's faces seemed to surprise the opponents with the straightness, the snap and the length on the punch.

Mooresy,
So is Ryan's skull mate !!!
I'm sure Ryan will be in touch soon mate.
It's been said time and time on here that both of you deserve so much credit for last Friday.
I've been here before with Ryan, and know how it feels, but one thing's for sure I know that there are still lucrative days ahead for you in the Middleweight division, and team Rhodes will be cheering you on all the way.
