Just been having a bit of a read up on the news about this fight and it seems that many jouralists are calling Cotto the underdog for this one. I have to say i find it quite strange. Granted Pac Man is a great fighter, but so is Cotto and he has beaten some excellent fighters not to metion he is a natural welter fighting in his prime.
Thoughts?

He is the favourite with me and I have quite a lot of money on it so I hope I am right and the majority are wrong, but when so many think something you do start to doubt yourself.
Still been backing him everyweek for last 8 or 9 weeks, have just under £400 on him now, and to show how crazy I am its not just to win, its to win by ko, kind of think one goes in hand with the other so perhaps not that mad.
Just think he is too big and hits too hard and that he will do a number on Manny.

Cotto is currently 13/8 with Paddy Power, which is generous odds imo. This is not Hatton or De La Hoya Pacquiao is now facing.
People can harp on about the size difference all they want, but that won't be the reason why Cotto wins this fight. Miguel can box, has good skills. He has been sold short in this match-up. The pressure is all on Pacquiao, maybe even more now than ever given that he's in the best form of his career. If Cotto wins, he has beaten Pacquiao while Manny is at his peak!

defo fancy cotto to win this fight.... Has pac man taken a hard blow of one of these bigger guys yet? Oscar didnt land anything on him.

cotto will have trouble finding him too. meanwhile he's going to be getting planted with power punches. however, this isn't ricky hatton. cotto is 100x better. I think he'll find a way. Hatton was always overrated and still is. Easiest fight of Pacmans career, that one.

Yes crushing wins against De La Hoya, Diaz, Hatton and wins against Marquez and Barrera. Your pretty much a sealed on favourite.

I think there will be around 5-8 lbs difference between Pacquiao (152 lbs, my guess) and Cotto (158 lbs, my guess) in the ring. It's not that big a deal.
Unless Cotto lands a fantastic shot, I think Manny will beat him up. I like both guys, though, so I'll sort of cheer them both on.

I think Pacman will smash Cotto to win convincingly.
