The man who has promoted both men plumps for Goliath over David. All feedback appreciated.

Current form suggests David should win but needs to be convincing and probably wobble valuev to get the decsision.

Valuev hasnt looked impressive for much of his career but his loss and closest wins where done by fairly small heavys in chagaev/ruiz and holyfield haye seems to be faster and sronger than them all but needs to stay active for the full 12 rounds to secure a victory in germany

Another nice insight to an interesting fight and I actually agree with Maloney but I will say that Haye will deserve the dicision but will not get it.

Ahhhhh what does Maloney know about boxing? Haye to KO Valuev with a body shot in the 5th. Didn't realise Maloney had promoted Adamek and Valuev

My mum is also tipping Valuev. 'He is too big' she says

No doubt she is being affected by that Sky advert that has Valuev shaking the ground looking every bit the monster he is being portrayed. I think it's very effective but it was an easy pitch, a man named David v agiant, what could go wrong?

I also remember overhearing a friend of my mum saying how can a 7'5 man fight a 6'3 man. It's not fair

I'm getting the feeling that this might do alright numbers. Its a shame because Valuev takes this within 3

If Haye wins I shall go berserk because it will be a great victory for boxing & indeed british boxing. Haye is good for the sport. He is game & is literally taking of Goliath in this one. If Haye wins I don't want to hear that Valuev is shit or no good.

If David wins, I wonder what the fcuk the Klitschko's are going to do? Haye will have title 7 a lot more bargaining power to bring to the negotiating table!

Haye is not going to get the decision. So the question is, can he KO Valuev?

Yes, they'll talk about how they're going to punish him for the disrespect he has shown, etc.

I'm hoping Haye doesn't have a single game plan, because he'll probably find that fighting Valuev is different to how he imagined it. He should have a few plans, and I'm sure he'll know which one to execute once he's in there. Movement and stamina are crucial for this fight. I think Valuev can take early bombs.

if i was haye, i wonder if i would be trying to wreck Valuev's eye tissues?? we know his chin is unlikely to crack, but his skin tissue can't be invulnerable surely?

Cant se how he can land effectively and repeatedly to the head without leaving himself wide open. Punching upwards at such a height, from outside the jab, will be so difficult, and this is all without valuev getting those big arms or a shoulder or anything in the way.

Tough nights work, really excited about this one.

promoters seldom pick their former fighters to win the big fights. reminds me of hobson re hatton-mayweather. is it because they are only too aware of the fighter's limitations, or because they feel the fighter should have kept them on as promoter? i'm not saying either IS the case, just bringing up some context for it. (if haye doesn't win, many will feel he should have stayed with maloney!)

Haven't seen a great deal of Valuev(rounds here and there) so I need a question answered by someone who has...

It seems pretty obvious given the height difference too.

Has anybody ever tried taking it to the body with Valuev?

imagine if haye lands the money punch and valuev goes down.

there certainly is plenty of target and he does hit fast, hard and sudden.

would valuev be able to get up on time, if at all?

I see Haye winning the early round's boxing and moving getting in and out but will tire fighting a bigger man tire's you out he is heavily outweighed. Valuev late for me as lefthooks Mum said "He's too big" :TU:

haye will win.

valuev is big and slow.

just not very good basically.

valuev is no effective pressure fighter.

he stands out there with those slow arse jabs.

he ain't got nothing for haye. :shame:

Would be a dream. More than anything it would be two fingers up at the Klitschko's with a 'now what?' thrown in for good measure.

Could they deny Haye a fight without absurd stipulations, rematches etc. if he sparks Valuev?

I would like Haye to win as it will be very good for British Boxing and the world. If you read it right i am saying David can win inside 5 rounds but if he cant get the big guy out of there i believe The Beast from the East wins on points due to his size and were the fight is taking place. But on Nov 7 i will be cheering for Haye.

I agree with Frank, Valuev is far more dangerous in this fight than people are suggesting.

However, I think Haye needs to look to score points not knock him out

Can you blame them after the Holyfield performance?
