Yory boy Campas managed it. Although he fought a huge number of lesser opponents during that run of wins.
I can't think of any more, but I know Jofre got very close. He was about 47-0 with three draws before he lost his first fight. Ruben Olivares was even closer, he managed 49-0-1 in his first 50 fights.

Jimmy Wilde 91-0-9 before his first defeat - of his recorded bouts, although apparently he had many more wins.

Not correct. Chavez lost one of his early fights by DQ and it wasn't until he was 55-1 or something that the result of that fight was reversed by the Mexican Boxing comission. This was several years later.
Chavez never officially announced with a 50-0 record.

Wasn't Chavez's manager on the Mexican Boxing Comission at that time? I seem to recall reading he was.Alister wrote:vman wrote:id like to know what boxers have accompliched this....

Looked this up in a book I have, "The A-Z World of Boxing" by Bert Blewett (excellent reading). Here what he writes about it under the "Records" chapter:
"For many years all the leading record books, including both Pugalito and The Ring Record Book, recorded the first loss of Julio Cesar Chavez as beaing by disqualification in one round to Miguel Ruiz i Culiacan, Mexico, on 3 April 1981. This has since been changed to a knockout victory for Chavez, based on confirmation from the local boxing commission in Cuilacan that it altered the verdict the following day.
Ramon Felix, manager of Chavez, happened to be a member of the Culiacan commission at the time."
Well, having your manager as a member of the local boxing commission in your hometown can probably never hurt. This sounds very fishy at best.

In all ringside reports in Ring mags, he has always been listed as undefeated beginning with the first title he won against Mario Martinez, I think Ring Mag listed him as 44-0-0 (40 KO) around that time! I wasn't sure when that early loss was reversed, I thought that it was some time after it had occurred!
