Beyer looks so vunerable these days it's untrue. The crude Japanese guy was just swinging with the right hand and hoping, yet caught Marcus flush in the 2nd and had him over.
When the pressure's on, the German has a habit of back peddling with his gloves in front of his chin, and as with the Green fight, the right hand crashed round his guard and had him in trouble. The bell rang though.

Not sure who looked more shocked, Beyer or his horrified girlfriend ringside.

While he boxed well enough to get the win, both him and his camp must know that Green is just going to walk right through him....

Beyer has a big heart, but his confidence doesn't seem there anymore.
Calzaghe would probably blast him apart in a couple of rounds.

Highlight of the night was a bald bloke dressed as Dracula ( with backing vampires on vocals ) singing Marcus into the ring. Looked like one of those old Hammer films, less the naked virgin sacrifice.

Song was Magnus Opus I think, as their best of album advert scrolled across the screen.

Those German boxing crowds as just so polite. Every official down to the time keeper gets a round of applause from the crowd. And they all seemed to be clapping the japanese guy on his way to the ring too.

Nishizawa shouldn't of been in there in the first place, he had done nothing to deserve a shot at the title apart from knockdown Anthony Mundine on his way to getting stopped.

Anyway, i expect Beyer to retire before having anything to do with Green a second time...Green would blast him out of there.

Green said in the paper yesterday that he is already in training and said he is planning to train harder for this fight than he has for any other fight and expects to be in better shape than the fight with Lucas. He is also travelling to the states a few weeks before the fight to get some extra sparring.
