Another cruiser is about to try fighting at heavy, two years after getting his clock cleaned by Haye Mormeck is stepping up a weight. Is it for the better money or do these lads feel that their natural speed will enable them to succeed in a weak h/w division?

Never know enzo mac may have a future after all!!

adamek could potentially win a heavyweight title if he fought someone like haye. he would be a 3 weight champion or at the very least have been in yet another classic war.#

the thing for adamek is, he has amagazine title (ring mag) at cruiser, and NO MANDATORIES. he can keep his belt, and there are 2 possible paydays - winner of rematch between dawson-johnson, and hopkins-RJJ. shit, i will stretch things a bit - pascal-diaconu 2 winner, also!

what a warrior, great that his career is open to different paths. an activre, busy, exciitng fighter and is willing to risk his rankking vs david tua next.

many said adamek was too small to be able to do that to the hulking golota. adamek is a top fighter and he has a smart team. his team can steer him to the right opportunity, that is best for him as a fighter and a businessman. fighters like admake and haye - i believe - can win titles. probably not from the klitschkos, but i feel the quality of adamek, of haye, the assets they bring, can take them to an exciting world title fight.

I've seen the fight and I think people are being harsh to Golota a little. He seemed up for it, although in bad shape, he was trying. Tomasz Bonin was not even in Golota's league, I would say even a 40+ version of Golota.

I like Adamek and I think he good do Haye. He reminds me of Kostya Tszyu. When you see him, you think he has alot of chinks in his armour. He's not an outstandly hard puncher, he's not outstandingly quick (hands and foot) but what he has, is amazing visio-spatial awareness. He knows when he is range, and he knows when his opponent is out of range.

He stood there, but made Golota look very slow and clumbsy. Yes, Golota isn't Muhammad Ali but what I liked was the EASE he backed up Golota.

I think he is a massive contender.

good post. what impresses me is his timing. in that fast paced cunningham fight, it was how he placed his shots, how he timed his shots, which enabled him to score 3 crucial knockdowns. vs the slicker, faster opponent. the right that put cunningham down is one of the best shots i've seen in a proper world title fight.

adamek seems to drop ppl without trying. he's like a machine. he just throws the appropriate shots, in the most efficient way. obviously, he rallies hard, he fights hard. i like it how he keeps hurting ppl with the right cross (banks, golota). he always follows with the left hook, seldom lets an opponent off the hook.

the pole has developed a really solid overall game. he's certainly in with a shot at winning a heavyweight title, when the right opportunity arises.
