Jesus, whoever is looking after Kerry doesn't like him much. Korobov by brutalisation
Re: Kerry Hope fighting on Pac Cotto Bill......
Not sure if this is as hard a match up as some here are predicting ... not that I`ve ever seen Korobov fight.
Its certainly looks an even match-up on paper. Korobov is the bigger man for sure.
But just like james Todd .. whoever is looking after these guys certainly don`t seem to be doing them any favours.

Re: Kerry Hope fighting on Pac Cotto Bill......
Korobov was an extemly experianced amatur and as a pro he his a vicious stalker with solid fundamentals he has a good defence and good power in both handstonyevs wrote:Not sure if this is as hard a match up as some here are predicting ... not that I`ve ever seen Korobov fight.

Korobov's possibly the best prospect in world boxing right now. So, yeah, it's safe to say Hope is getting thrown to the wolves.

Hope is better than the guys Korobov has fought so far but he's waaaaaaaaaayyyyy out of his league. Korobov's a monster.
As people have said somebody over there must dislike Kerry!

Korobov is a class act I've seen most of his fights most of them he looked quality but 2 of them he didnt look that good. He should beat Hope comfterabley
Re: Kerry Hope fighting on Pac Cotto Bill......
Hope has the same manager now as James Todd who has a 'world' title shot after 4 fights.
They are both being brought in as opponents, they need the work and a few quid. Hopefully they will both put up a decent show and not get bashed up so they can keep busy.

Re: Kerry Hope fighting on Pac Cotto Bill......
You might be thinking of the mercurial Gennady Golokvin from Khazakstan perhaps? He is, for my money, the best fighter in the world without a world title belt. As for Hope, he is fucked. Plain and simple. He must have pissed his manager off to end up in with Koborov!Wales wrote:Who was the other guy fomr that neck of the woods that turned pro fairly recently ... sure he did well in the olympics, but thatought he was Azbekistan, or something similar... or am I just think of Koborov.
Re: Kerry Hope fighting on Pac Cotto Bill......
I just had the oppurtunity to watch his fights on Youtube...
An aggressive heavy handed southpaw with very good skills ... a nightmare no less.
He certainly looks one to keep an eye on. Under Dan Birmingham with Bob Arum promoting him - he`s likely to go very far.

Re: Kerry Hope fighting on Pac Cotto Bill......
He's not with Dan Birmingham anymore he left him in the summer he started to work with his father but now has moved on they were looking to have him work with Robert Garcia but that was conditional of Korobov going to L.A as Garcia wouldn't go to Las Vegas to train him as he has his own gym (La Colonia) in L.A.tonyevs wrote:I just had the oppurtunity to watch his fights on Youtube...
