The US team is made up of number 1, 2 and 3 ranked boxers. All 3 duals will have a mixture instead of all 1's, 2's and 3's.

All 3 duals will have a short 3 day camp at the location of the dual.
Money is tight with USAB at the moment.

yea alot of the guys competing at the duals are also in the national pals too.

It is not an ideal training camp situation, but it gives the coaches a few days to get to know the boxers before the competition. Even though it is not ideal, it is still international experience which our boxers so desperately need. I look at it like this, yes USAB has problems but at least there is still competitions going on. Team USA will only get better if the boxers and coaches get to experience more international competitions. We have almost 3 years until London so the boxers can improve a lot.

yeah I'm from kinda up north Texas like to watch good fights!! Yeah what broke his hand thought I get to see him at the pals with the new weight divisons. But hmm let me see have you ever fought or seen him I know he was rank and the last time I seen him was at the Los gallos tournament in Dallas the finals he fought some kid from Houston Henry hernandez and that's the last I of I seen him their are several more but like Joshua b he used to fight for Dallas now he move to California and fights for them um idk their are some good ones tho!

Jerren - with the new 123# class, you will get a lot of good competition. Jessie Magdaleno and maybe Rau'shee Warren. They are both injured at the moment. You could box Ernie Garza or James Smith, but somebody would have to travel a long distance as they are both from Michigan. Maybe take a bout or two against 132# guys like Eric Fowler. Whatever you can do to get good competition. Don't worry about losing to the guy from GB. It is about getting better and learning from the international competition.

Oh okay..yes im wiling to do anything to get experience and I was supposed to fight ejay rodriguez....and okay dennis I remember now..and yeah I was just totally diff to be enexperienced in the u.s. Didnt seem like such abig deal compared to the inteerrnational style itl could still be competitive against those guys compared to the brits but I understand everything you are saying its all experience and im ready for more experience thanks for backn me up and would look foward to those matches

Jerren - they are having a show in Bay City on November 7th. If you wanted to take a trip up to Michigan you could box Ernie Garza on that show. Otherwise you both could come to Grand Rapids on November 27th (day after Thanksgiving) and box each other on our show.

Another US team boxes Great Britain this weekend in Des Moines, Iowa.
In November, a US team goes to England for two duals. In 2010, the goal is to get US Boxers in European tournaments to gain more international experience.

The team performed well for a mostly young, inexperienced team. The GB team has some tough competitors on their team. Khalid at 51kg boxed in the Beijing Olympics and is very good. Their 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 64kg and 91kg (Simmons) boxers are all talented. Their 2nd 51kg boxer, Chapman, is good, but not at the same level as Khalid. Their 69kg and 75kg boxers are not that experienced and it showed in the three duals. Their 2nd 91kg boxer is inexperienced and it showed even though he won 2 out of 3 of his bouts. Donovan Dennis was outboxing him and was way ahead on points when his counter left landed and ended the bout with an RSC-H. Overall, the U.S. team tried hard and gained invaluable experience. Hopefully, they all go back to their home gyms and work on the little things that will take them to the next level. The full results of all three duals are below.

I don't know the full team going to England, but I do know that they leave next week - I believe on November 9th.
I know that Ernie Garza is going at 54kg, Errol Spence at 69kg, and Lamar Fenner at 91kg. The competition dates are Friday, November 13th and Sunday, November 15th in London. The first competition is for the Atlantic Cup and features the best of Great Britain while the second competition features a team from just England. Since the first dual will feature boxers from all of Great Britain that should be a much tougher matchup for Team USA.
