Beat round of 1991

Ye guys the ring magazine has no award for the round of the year i noticed in 1991, why ?

Any of you guy's remember any rounds that stick out, this was the year Robert Quiroga W 12 Akeem Anifowoshe won fight of the year,

In 1991 there weren't any rounds. The WBC, WBA and IBF all agreed to having title fights fought in two fifteen minute halves, just like football matches. The Ring withheld the award, because they didn't consider 15 minutes to be a proper boxing round. The fans didn't like the new format either and it went back to traditional 12*3 rounds again.

At least that's what I remember.
