Holyfield was stopped by a man 3st heavier and ebven then only after nearly knocking him out Evander had flu for that contest, well known fact.

Mccall has never been knocked down and was taking full blooded shots from lewis with his hands down.

I say Hatton wins...oh - hang on a minute - he got kncoked out twice - my mistake.

So is an old Ray Mercer, he KO'd Tim Silvia with a punch in 9 seconds earlier this year in an MMA bout. :box:

Colin Jones was hard as nails - took Don Currys punchs and said he never felt them - despite Curry having bust his nose wide open.

Kimbo guillotine choked him. It was an exhibition and Ray thought it would be a stand up fight and didnt train in any groundfighting.

Pathetic. Moron.
I was trying to figure out why you said that. Griffith is gay, right? And the 3rd fight with Paret (of which Paret died of the injuries sustained in the bout) was highly fueled because of Paret's comments towards Griffith's sexuality. Is that right?
Oh relax, that was pretty damn funny:)

Jim Glen does know and the reason was World Titles for ENGLAND'S Bigmen!

circa 1940 McAvoy was nearing the end, but a shot at a MW or L-HW title would have been fine still, but the focus was NO longer on McAvoy but rather the coming Freddie Mills, in a 1940 article to the Ring, Freddie is not only posed as a World L-HW title bet but also a 'hope' for HW honours too, this is 1940, he's not even a British title holder yet and their selling him as potential HW title challenger!!!. Jump ahead a couple of years to 1942 Britain for the first time in decades are No Longer Horizontal Heavyweights or champions with the rise of the young Woodcock, thus the Mills, Woodcock Roadshow begins...

Britain had "real" chances among the Bigmen and for all the great legacy and linage of Britain's little men, it wasn't enough, No Way not when the Home of Boxing can finally produce 1 maybe 2 world champions among the Big boys, No way, this MUST be Secured.

Gilroy was a MW cum L-HW, Mills was a L-HW cum HW and Woodcock pure HW...
Gilroy was a "Tally Bastard" - Antonio Rea, Mills and Woodcock were ENGLISH pure and through. The WAR was on WHO was looking in and the little tight circle of Ted Broadribb, Jack Solomons and company... the Frank Warrens and Don Kings of their day. They RULED British boxing and how they shaped it and played who could do anything about it especially durring WW2.

Mills had to be guarded and he IS the ONLY British champion to NEVER defend a TITLE 8 years, yet gets 2 cracks at a World title, well it paid off for Britain and Solomons and Broadribb and Mills, Woodcock they hurried and wasted such was their desperation for the Big Titles and in Gilroy they shamefully assaulted very likely their greatest MW.

Him and McAvoy together were easy the Hardest and Best of Britains few true MW Kings!

But unlike fighters like Mercer and McCall, Wilson was a hugger. His 2 fights with Golota were excrutiangly boring because Marion looked scared witless and he just basically hugged Golota everytime there was the threat of an exchange.

Guys like Mercer, McCall, Tex Cobb, & Chuvalo actually FOUGHT and still couldn't be stopped.
