Tszyu gets offered 14 mill from Muhammad..!
Kostya Tszyu has been offered US$14 million four fight deal from American promoter Murad Muhammad and could see Tszyu have his next fight against England's Ricky Hatton in Sydney it was reported by Grantlee Kieza in the Daily Telegraph today. Oscar De la Hoya who has stated he will box at 147 pounds could also meet Tszyu. "I would love the chance to box against Oscar," said Tszyu. "At this stage of my career I only want to have the big fights to leave a legacy in the sport. You can't get much bigger than fighting Oscar De La Hoya."
Obviously Kostya's first choice is Oscar and I don't think there are any contractual hurdles with making this fight???
To be honest Hatton comes down in the pecking order. Murad Muhammad will want big money fights just as KT does so he will probably want KT/DLH, KT/Gatti, KT/Mayweather....Hatton may get the third or fourth fight if this deal happens.
Any predictions on KT/DLH..??
Never thought this had a change of happening. I think DLH is too big and strong and takes a decision from Kostya.. 8)

I don't think Del La Hoya will want to jump right in against Tszyu so Hatton may still get his shot. Oscar first has to make the weight and will probably want a warm up fight to get himself comfortable at the weight again, he may also want the warm up fight to double as a comeback fight after being stopped by Hopkins. So if Tszyu gets at Oscar I don't think it will be until the late part of 2005 which leaves plenty of room for Ricky to get in there and have his chance I think.

wow, how did the word 'allegedly' get in there? I put a disclaimer on it!Riddick Blowe wrote:no way frank will let hatton travel. He'll find an excuse, some way of weaseling out of it.
It will set a new standard for the most pathetic, lowest of the low, piece of shit etc that is allegedly allegedly.
Disclaimer: this is my opinion.
allegedly is a good guy.

I got this from the BBC for you lot.
Don't you want to see Hatton fight Tszyu or something?????????????
The fact is that Muhammad is not even involved in this deal or with either boxer so why does anybody believe what he says over allegedly who is involved with Ricky?allegedly has rejected the claims of a rival promoter, which threatened to put Ricky Hatton's IBF title challenge against Kostya Tszyu in jeopardy.
Murad Muhammad said on Tuesday that he had offered Australian Tszyu a deal to fight Hatton in Sydney.
But Warren has hit back, saying "Australia is not an option" because it makes no logistical sense to US network Showtime, which has the final say.
"I have negotiated solely with Tszyu's promoter Vlad Wharton," said Warren.
"Our position on this matter is very clear - I cannot deal through anybody else to make this fight happen.
"Regardless of what has been said by Muhammad, Hatton is the mandatory challenger to the IBF World title and the fight has to happen otherwise Tszyu will be stripped."

The flies are gathering round the shit that's all. Tszyu is big money now, with there being talk of him fighting the likes of Hatton, Gatti, Mayweather, Judah, Spinks, DLH, Collales, Moraltes or even possibly Mosley, uncle Tom Cobbley and all, it seems that everyone wants a piece.
Muhammad is obviously trying to winkle his way in there somehow. I don't see Tszyu being foolish enough to do that though.

The thing is Tszyu has about 5 fighters he can face and Hatton needs this fight. Tszyu could easily move up and fight Spinks and then Judah and DeLaHoya and Mosley, Or he can stay at 140 and fight Mayweather or Cotto or Gatti.
I think after hearing him in the press over here he won't be going to fight in England and the way it has been handled by FW it will probably go to a purse bid and then Hatton will be pulled out of the rankings again.
