Just in: Eamonn Magee gets the all clear

Post by bennie »

Belfast southpaw Eamonn Magee has been given medical clearance by the Board to box again. The 33-year-old now plans to defend his WBU welterweight title at the end of February.
Magee was the victim of a brutal baseball attack earlier this year that left him with a smashed left leg. Doctors told him he would never box again.

Blimey... biggest comeback from physical injuries since Vinny Pazienza? Remember those pictures of him training wearing his halo after he'd broke his neck. What a nutter he was!

Blimey, hope he is able to move around the ring ok, he was never exactly nijinksy in the ring so it shouldn't hamper him too much.

Has anyone seen him about at shows recently?

I thought Magee's mobility was one of his advantages actually?

Good to see him back, how about a couple of warm ups and then get in with Witter?

Subtle little counter puncher, different style to Leonard but still fundemental to his style and I agree with Goz, one of his advantages.
