You maybe correct - however do you also think that someone who comes across like Hatton does as passionate about the football club he supports and the things he believes in - to put this shirt on of a team other than the team he so vigourously supports is lets put it as confusing.

Speaking personally i'd not wear a Stoke shirt if they held a gun to my head....but i am a Vale fan so thats understandable.

However if i was promoting a fight in Manchester i'd wear a Man City shirt though. As usual some are using this nothing issue as a chance to bash one of our best fighters. Whatever makes them happy i guess.

To link in to the Benn thing: Nige wore garish Newcastle shorts in the Malinga fight. I have memories of him kneeling down in them to propose to his lady. I think the shorts were cut into ribbons as well, it was wrong on every possible level but F it all, he is Nigel Benn.

Was that the Malinga fight? I always remember that after collins when he announced his retirement? I'm probably wrong though, I was young and it was a long time ago.

Benn retired after that one, and Collins, and Collins II. He may have made more than one proposal. Every fight during that period seemed to end with Benn on the floor in tears proposing to some woman.

I used to like a football shirt though - my favourite one was FC Tirol Innsbruck - but they went bust or were merged with another side - I didn't give a shit and I am the unlikeliest looking Austrian you have ever seen!

Bloody nice looking shirt - let me try and find it - I bought some cheapo socks for 50p from 'TJ Hughes' ran in the wash and ruined it well before its time - I was gutted!
