1. Viewed - Is travelling better this year than last and this years Cup is much weaker. Weith doesn't seem to be a problem and a nice 3rd on the weekend whithout raising a sweat.
2. Alcopop - Don't like the fact he hasn't had a run leading in but his form has been outstanding. Stamped by Shocking's good results after being belted by Alcopop.
3. Master O'Reilly - Normally I think that horses that have failed in the cup will fail again but he seems to have matured into a 2 miler. Been running on well.
4. Cest Le Guerre - Likes it wet but I rememebr how bad Effecient was going before he won the cup in 07 so you never know what Lloyd is doing. A talented gallopper and the trip won't find him out. Overs at 30-1.
5. Leica Ding - Could be a 2 miler, if he is he will be right in this as most of them aren't.

Put a line throught the Invaders as none of them have performed well in a lead up run like past invading winners. I don't think Roman Emperor will get 3200, Newports run on the weekend looked great but it was aginst alot of horses who were just having a gallop so i don't think he is a chance.

Nice run down mate. One thing to keep in mind with Viewed is that it is carrying 5kg's more than last year. That is significant.

I am very interested in your last three selections there. I almost put a line through Cest Le Guerre straight away, as you say the form has been less than stella lately.

Master O'Reilly hasn't won for two years, so there must be a query there.

I reckon you are getting unders with Leica Ding soley due to its recent win.

There is probably 15 horses you can put a line through this year, I personally will be leaving the following out of all me bets (inc first 4)

I hear that internet criminals in europe have been jamming big aussie betting agencies servers, they got sportingbet a couple months back. no cash demands were made but they think it was a trial run for a bigger trading day. Tomorrow will be a big target for them I would think. Obviously I have no idea if that is true.

On the day of the race I had to take my 86 year old mother-in-law for a medical appointment. My wife and I baby sit our granddaughter 5 days a week while our daughter goes to work (like most married couples in their thirties she and her husband are buying their house and need both wages to pay for it). I have enough to do without trying to work out which hayburner can carry a midget 3200 metres fast.
