A straight right hand usually beats a left hook to its target.
Johansson KO4, with both men hitting the deck. Exciting fight --- not much skill, & even less defense on display, but it'd be fun while it lasted.

Not really. Someone lands a big punch in the first two rounds, & from there, it becomes a battle of survival, bombs away, ala Foreman-Lyle...dempseyfire wrote:Not much skill?

Ingo within 4 rounds for me, IMO the pre shooting incident Williams is overated, a lot of his reputation seems to come from landing a few good shots on Liston and his chin was not exactly sturdy.

Ok, i can see that, that makes more sense.
Re: Cleveland Williams vs Ingemar Johansson, primes
I wouldnt rule Williams out entirely, besides his Ali and Liston losses
he put in some good performances. Ingo has the power, but I could
see Big Cat getting the win.
As GI said it could play out like a Lyle-Foreman affair, though I am
not entirely sure that it will be Williams that stays down. WIlliams
seemed all to eager to try and KO Liston in both fights, which
seemed very risky against a man like Liston. But perhaps Williams saw
something in Liston that few others did, and went for the gamble.
I will slide on the side of Williams, but just. It is a real hard pick em
we have been presented with here. Lets sit back and watch it
play out with our minds eye :)
