Paul Smith posts on here as Smigga. Or at least he used to. I'd like to here his take on it. Personally I think Magee should get a crack - but again feel desperately sorry for Dodson - he was so close to victory and deserves another shot based on him being a former champion and that performance. However, Magee should be first in line - I am still not sure exactly what the circumstances were regarding him losing the belt.
magee got injured but rumour had it he was waiting on a european shot he vacated so hayemaker could still have a title on the show, but no one informed the board who made smigga mandtiory challenger. quigley was scheduled to fight magee before smith but had to with draw through injury himself and he didnt want to vacate so he either had to fight smigga next or be stripped. smiggas next oppnent will be quigley or the winner of kenny anderson vs paul david

Yes, in my opinion he now is shot! Everyone could see how fragile he was...he was gettin dropped everytime Quigley caught him flush! And lets have it right, he is so quick to compare his fight against Quigley with Pauls fight with Quigley - yet he forgets to say that Quigley took that fight at 2 weeks notice and was blowing for tuggs after 3 rounds! Quigley himself will say this. And no one is saying that Smith V Quigley was as good a fight, it was a bad performance from both, granted...that doesnt take away the result. Tony Quigley won KO12 Tony Dodson. Paul Smith WPTS Tony Quigley. Paul Smith is now British Champion so Dodson can practise what he was so fondly preaching when it was him in the limelight and "GET THE BACK OF THE QUEUE!"

Problem with Dodson is his in activity, hard to say he justifies a shot as he is so inactive and injury prone. Must be awkard for a promoter to commit to him.
Quigley and Magee deserve a shot more - I would like to see Dodson vs McGuire is some kind of eliminator fight.
Smith deserved his shot based on his performance in the contender (albeit at Middle). The guy who he beat, beat a guy twice (alaya) who gave Abraham one or two problems.

quigley was down for a 6 rounder originaly then a week before he got the english shot then he ended up fighting dodson so he wasnt in shape to go 10 or 12 really

To be perfectly honest...id love to see him in with Dodson next! In my opinion its a much easier fight, as like I said above I do think he is fragile and think Paul would knock him out. The only thing im arguing with is I dont like the way he is shouting about how he deserves it and Paul "must" fight him next - wrong! There are people before him in the queue. So if its who i would like him to fight then Dodson. Who I think the board should pick as mandatory - Quigley.
