This weekend, Sky's commentary team.
This weekend, Sky's commentary team.
Is this the first time ever Sky have covered boxing across 3 different venues in which there has been no other TV networks involved.
Sky have done it on a few occasions in which they've had two shows in the states and a show in the UK - but they have used US TV's commentary for one of the shows. (e.g. Brian Magee headlined in Ireland - they showed Holyfield vs Toney and Morales vs Espedas 2 from two different venues - relying on US commentary on the Morales show).
However, this night they are the sole providers of the two Ireland cards.... and they have flown out Darke and Watt to Germany (so will not use the US coverage there). So I wonder who will be doing the commentary in Ireland.
Adam Smith and Glen McCory I am guessing for one of them. Who for the other?

McCrory and Smith might watch it on a screen and commontate but if not I would guess Nelson and maybe one of the Sky Sports News presenters maybe
Re: This weekend, Sky's commentary team.
I remember working on 3 for the same night on the Bruno-Tyson rematch so March 1996. Welch-Bugner in Germany and Hamed-Lawal in Scotland. There might have been another, I don't know. Can't remember who commentated. Would have been Ian & Glenn in Vegas.

Smith and Nelson for Mcloskey fight!

Rawling and McCrory for Sexton-Rogan
Surprised they are using Rawling. Good move though.
