tonights Fox card

Post by toppity »

Well Seran made Adam look second rate. Big knock out, good call from the ref'...the timing was right. Bloody hell, what's the ruling in NSW of fighting after being knocked out? Dec' 2nd isn't that far away.

Well done to Jackson thought it was great a performance and against a quality opponent who could bang.Bring on Dib, what a fight for the new year.
I have to say the main was excellent.. a really good matchup :TU: . Asiku surprised me tonight, I think his chin and work rate could take him on to a major title.

I hope Wills takes the year off it's been a bad one for him.

Team Bohul done well tonight and made sure it didn't have to go to the cards. Still can't support the idea that more fighters from Team bohul seem to get the majority of fights on TV than the Australian local talent. I really hope that this doesn't continue next year.

What about the tool who claimed that Ruiz had won all 43 fights by knockout and that Ruiz was 41????? I know Boxrec ain't the bible but how far of the mark was he! Danny seemed shocked as i did so i looked it up and he's 32, nice job by the host of Bigtime Boxing to take the shine of Asiku's best career win.

That was him. The other Heriberto Ruiz lost all four of his fights by KO, including one against Yori Boy Campos and the last against Vince Phillips. The fighter from last night has an impressive record, including winning a NABF title.

Very fair skinned for a Mexican.

What about the knock out, i really thought the Mexican was in trouble after the last KD, it was a massive knockout.

He challenged for the NABF title but lost.

He has impressive wins over Rey Bautista which was less than a year ago, he has a win against Christobal Cruz the current IBF feather champ, and a couple of other good wins against gate keepers.

The guy can fight no doubt, he was just outworked and with a lovely kit of punches was finished of in devastating fashion.

I was thinking that at the time, i had a fair bit of interest about his safety after the last KD.

I think the guy that gives the stats to Fox has no idea or is Drunk . Every card is the same. Wrong records. Normally its the Thia imports.

Its easier to make up an impressive record to keep people happy, Than to actually say it how it is.

My mistake. He won the WBC Fecombox Bantam and IBF Inter-Continental super Bantam titles. He has been a contender for much of his career.

Easy solution. The local fighters need to step up and start taking the 50/50 fights. The only reason the filo's are on so many cards is because local fighters wont take the fights. OR...the promoters boy doesn't want a 50/50 fight so they match with a filo. Same thing really.

At the end of the day...blame the promoters, managers and the matchmakers. They are entirely responsible for it.

Mate can't argue there about more boys willing to take 50/50 fights,it would be so healthy for the sport and only good could come of it.

Just in case my message sent mixed signals, i wasn't suggesting that the Bohul fighters were to blame.

What i stand for is a passion for Australian fighters for Australian boxing.....this however doesn't mean i don't want to see an International card from time to time but I certainly don't want to see 3 sometimes 4 fighters on every card televised, from the Bohul Gym.

No offense intended to the Gym or it's fighters, it just simply doesn't set a high standard for it's television viewers/Followers.

I've come to work the following Monday and mates have told me how they've turned the channel because it's always some Aussie fighter fighting an overmatched Asian fighter.

I Just think in Australia good local talent vs local Talent is the way to go. If we consider how often there are televised cards it's not much to ask for.
