You didn't miss much if you didn't see it. Haye basically ran away all night. You don't win a championship belt by running away. Biased announcers and even more biased judges. I told you the fix would be in on this one.

I agree and disagree, Haye did run and put on a poor poor performance but he deserved to win the fight on my card, but barely and could have gone either way

I figured they would try to fix this fight because the boxing mobsters calculated they could make a lot more money off Haye. I was afraid that they would force Valuev to take a dive, but no, he fought honorably and the best he could. I think he should have just stood there and waited for Haye to come at him instead of following him around whilst Haye ran away (the same mistake that Carnera made against Max Baer, I think, except Carnera was better than Valuev and Baer was better than Haye).

The English-speaking announcers were pretty heavily biased in favor of Haye and they had the fight either a win for Valuev or a draw.

Valuev and his corner seemed subdued after the fight ended while Haye had his hands raised. They seemed to know in advance that the decision would go against them. Then they seemed completely docile when it was announced. This is also very supicious since there was no legitimate reason for them to feel that way.

To beat a champion and take away his belt you have always needed to do more than fighting him a pretty even fight. Haye did even less but the judges still gave him the decision, two by an indefensible margin.

Haye just stayed on his bicycle all night, runing away from Valuev, trying to throw in an odd punch every now and then, and all of them were totally ineffective except for the punches that landed in the final round. Valuev threw many more punches than Haye and was the aggressor throughout. Where are the Punchstat numbers?

So all in all I conclude that two of the judges were on the payroll. Par for the course. I also think that the Russians should stand up on their hind legs and stop taking this bullshit from Don King and the boxing mobsters.
