i'm guessing 1-2£ million, but he could probably earn £30 million from his next 4 fights.

Got paid his money through getting the UK TV rights - it all depends on how many hits the PPV got.

If people doubt what I say here - look back on the work David put into selling the fight with all the media work he put in.

Sky will have made their money on the fight - I would imagine David will get around £500k to £700k - unless of course his management team managed to negoitiate a minimum amount to be paid.

same here. i actually admired haye's defense. ppl obviously hate to see big men boxing defensively. i was sure he was winning, but - like calzaghe-hopkins - wasn't sure he was doing enough to impress away judges.

Haye is self promoted.

He likely makes more money from the promotion than from actually fighting.

What the f*ck are you on about?

Haye did not promote that fight last night and in addition his fighters who were with Hayemaker Boxing are now with other promotional outfits.

Stop Trolling.

The fact he got a purse from Sky, means he's self managed and promoted.

Yep - Haye I was told took a risk and went for the UK TV rights rather than a pay cheque from the German promoters and thus he put in some very hard graft with the media.

I am not sure what the cut is - Sky take their % out of the buys and the fighter gets the lions share.

Haye Valuev punch stats

Post by nosworthy »

Anyone? The German coverage on Yuotube has the stats at round 6 but the final clip shows the result and that's it.

I'd imagine they'd've shown the full punch numbers after that. Ayone watch it past the decision?

So would I, but I don't think the boxing mobsters want to show them because they would show that Valuev threw and landed many more punches and was the aggressor throughout.

Hard to see from who - once you get past Vitali (who would murder Haye at this stage) and Wlad (in a contest of the suspect chins) there ain't a lot out there. None of the British contenders make for a particularly exciting domestic showdown, nor do the Americans amount to a hill o'beans. Odlanier Solis, maybe?

i guess you lost money on the fight? I'm sorry Valuev was awful and shouldnt win rounds for just matching forward and hitting air. Haye was looking for opennings and landed by far the cleaner punches and i'm sure the punch stats will show this, i dread to think what Valuev's success rate was? i just re watch the fight and now i'm sure Haye won.
I had to rewatch the Froch v Dirrel fight also before I could make Froch the winner

Strange how we can favour the aggressor who is landing less punches in one fight so heavilly .. yet then favour the runner in another so heavilly the next time

Both fights were very hard to score. How do you really score a fight when one guy is running constantly .. and the other guy is atleast trying but missing terribly?

Buncey is confused also. He had Froch the one time .. then Haye the next .. I wonder what he favours? ;;-)

the fact is they are 2 different fights. they are not a perfect analogy. some ppl are acting as if they are identical, which they are not.
