sheesh :witzend:

An impressive win. I don't see why the judges nationalities make his win more meaningful. They obviously wern't crooked and scored the fight fairly (in some eyes to wide). I'm sure a different Haye will turn up for Ruiz, but he could have defantly done more against Valuev.

Haye did fantastically if that injury happened so early on. If not, he may well have knocked him out

i saw his hand & true to his word it was a mess, they even showed the clubbing right to valuev's ear which just seemed to explode off :!:
im glad he got it as there has been too many nights were decent brits have been turnt over.i believe the judges were generous to haye as rds were tight but i suppose he aint got a mark on him,& carrying a early injury really does boost his win.
i felt if he stuck it on the giant he could of toppled him.

firstly i apologise for having this post on 2 threads, but this one seems more appropriate.....

the 2 fingers taped is a splinting method to protect fractures of the meta-carpal bones, which form the hand, between your fist and your wrist. the bones either need fixing with metalwork or splinting. the one nearest the little finger (5th meta-carpal) is the one that more commonly needs internal fixation, due to the fact that is does not have bone on either side to splint it, it (along with a bennets fracture of the base of the thumb) is a traditional punchers injury. the tape is there to prevent mal-rotation of the injury, and it could heal well with just the tape, but, this type of fracture often needs internal fixation, so dont be surprised if sometime this week, we hear of haye having a pin or 2 stuck in it for 3 weeks !!

Made me larf when Haye said today that he once broke his hand on top of a guys head - but Valuev's chin was harder than that ! Amazing to see the big man dancing after being hit in the neck with a left in the last - I hope the Haye haters give some credit now - He did what was required and beat the man with a plan.

I hope David doesn't overlook Ruiz thinking about one of the bros because Johnny aint no pushover...still, I'm backing David to do the biz and hopefully unify the division - shame there 'aint no decent 'septics' out there 'cos they'll be on here bleating about everything but have had nothing since my fave fighter of all time - Iron Mike - to bleat about!. USA - it is over for now - accept it! (perhaps Basketball, Baseball and that imitation of Rugby is paying too much money for the yanks to want to fight anymore!!!) lol - it's a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!
