I'm aware its not british, but my question is how would this guy kept his licence? i mean dont our current journey men have to meet the B.B.B.C after so many consisitant loses?

Looking at his record he appears to be able to last the distance.

They breed them tough in Romanian.
Not so long ago there was a live show on Eurosport with a Romanian guy who had lost his last 40 fights (or something like that). He was fighting a guy with a respectable 7-7 record. THe romainan scored a spectacular KO.
Okay, a bit of a freak result but still the guy looked competent and actually went to fight. I don't think he'd suddenly became ambitious. Okay, he wasn't the second coming of Ali - but he was as good as some of our weaker journeyman.

My biggest concern is not letting him fight because the sport needs journeymen to give the novice pro's fights early in their careers.
My concern is letting him fight someone who's 22-0 that's shocking.

I untersatnd Journey boxing Novice Pro's but his last opponent was 22-0 with 20 KO'S and was a weight heavier
That would'nt be allowed over here...

Future Cruiserweight Champ of the World in my opinion! He is just trying to strengthen his chin for thebig fights.
Re: How does this guy maintain a licence????
we need journymen
Re: How does this guy maintain a licence????
Australia and New Zealand also run by this policy. You see 30-0 guys fighting 1-18 fighters, it's despicible.
Re: How does this guy maintain a licence????
out of 51 fights stopped 11 times, thats not a bad journeyman

Hes consistant, not a single win to spoil his record lol. All joking apart his record shows he is durable and a decent test for a novice. It is disgusting though to put him in with a fighter 22-0.

Nice to see the stats, thanks for your research. They may lack the skills to win but you cant fault them for guts and toughness.Londonirish wrote:ERIC GUY wrote:out of 51 fights stopped 11 times, thats not a bad journeyman

Yeah it appears the guy is very durable so thats why he is allowed to fight, i would love for him to get a win though.

Don't forget Reggie Strickland - 276 losses only stopped 25 times.
Re: How does this guy maintain a licence????
Wow.
On a 2nd look at this guy I see that he has only fought once in 2 years prior to the fight and that was a loss against a debutant.
So he moved up in weight, because he is fat and even more out of condition than he was before, taking a 0-43 record into the ring against the undefeated 22-0![[icon_shame.gif] :shame:](./images/smilies/icon_shame.gif)

He could have been a contender
Re: How does this guy maintain a licence????
Mostly, he's got a licence because nobody in a position of authority gives a damn about him... or about the principle of controlling the sport... and if by some miracle he were to be barred, he'd probably pop up as his twin brother and carry on picking up what is probably some much-needed cash. The only way he's going to stop before the fight is knocked out of him completely is if people stop hiring him... pigs are flying all over Europe as we speak.
