Rogan wasn't fully healed after the injury that had caused the postponment of the first date for the rematch.

For sure, some people who were aware of this may well have decided to bet based on this knowledge, but that is NOT corrupt or dishonest- it's merely, as they say, taking a gamble when the odds appear in your favour.

I would think a British heavyweight top ten of Haye-Williams-Sprott-Rogan-Harrison-Sexton-Fury-Price-McDermott is pretty comparable.

True the likes of Sexton, Fury et all are green-horns but there is a world-champion, two Olympic medalists etc in that list....

I think there are many great matchups to be made in the british heavy division. Okay they are no world beaters but the fighters mentioned by David Payne can still feature in some good domestic rivalries (besides Haye of course). Throw in Chisora and any combination which hasn't already happened could make heavy scene quite interesting.

1. Rogie did have an injury, apparently he struggled with his left shoulder for weeks prior to the fight.

2. Rogie also had a niggle in his neck.

3. Rogie arranged with a family member... He put a £1000 bet on Sexton to beat him...

It was somewhat of an open secret between a small crowd...
This being the reason that the bookmakers stopped taking bets, due to "suspicous betting".

By the way, I only heard today that Corbett has been boasting that he's the only man ever to drop Rogan... (in sparring).

And my insider tells me that will be sorted out "in the street, before it would ever be settled in the ring".

i dont need to start talking on here about things that dont matter now but all im trying to say is rogan is not the nice guy people say he is ????

If a person feels the odds on his opponent, are, put bluntly, better than they should be, it must be tempting to get someone to stick something on.

If he DOES win, fornicate it, whats £X lost on a bet compared to a win? If he loses, then the cash from the winnings is a bit of compensation.

If I was a boxer, I'd be well tempted to hedge my purse by betting against myself.
