On a side note, I watched Lynes vs Mbaye full the other day. I think its a performance that has been underated by us on here. He's generally been cast aside as "past it" on here. In hindsight, and getting to watch the fight in full, I thought it was a damn good performance. What did he have, 3 days notice?

To me he knicked the fight. I wasn't shouting robbery when he lost - but I think he would have won HANDILY with a little bit more preperation, he fatigued at the end.

There is still something left in the tank. Hope he does well in Prize fighter and can come again. Maybe if McCloskey gets a world title fight, Lynes can get a rematch with Mbaye for the EBU title.

I hope so! I see Ashley quite a lot at my local gym & he's a very nice fella. Comes across as a quiet person, humble. Just gets on with his work.

Hopefully, Ashley replaces him & does well.
