Is Hatton Worth backing at 3.5?

Post by MR T »

Just after a bit of advice, I don't particuarly rate Hatton but he seems good value to have a bet on as he has a good workrate and will give it a go, chin also seems ok. I appreciate that Ndou only really gets beaten by the best but he could get old overnight....

Anyone got anything to put me off apart from "bettings for mugs" and those kind of comments.

You can get 2.1 on Cotto.

Given the discord and disruption in the Pacquiao camp, that might be a great value bet. If COtto can establish the jab, he could well win.

Perhaps that could put you off. A better underdog bet...

Hey Carbo, I was thinking of doing that aswell! I really like Cottos chances after watching 24x7 as Manny doesn't seem to be listening as much to Roach, I think Cotto would have been favourite without the Margarito fight happening and that could potentially be discredited what with the handwrap allegations. I guess there is also the Clottey fight but maybe an that was off night....

I think Hatton will lose. He's not very good, imo.

Yeah, I agree he is the underdog, just seems like good odds as he is unlikely to get stopped early and I could potentially trade out if he does well in the first 6. The compelling thing for me is that generally the Hattons are quite shrewd matchmakers unless cashing in on the mega fights, they must fancy the job

I think they should let me replace Hatton tonight. I'm 18 stone, I'll give N'Dou a real challenge because of my size advantage.

Look, I think Pacquiao should win, but I just think that everyone's totally underestimating Cotto. He's a superb fighter with the technique and power to hurt Pacquaio and throw him off his game.

Pacquiao can be slowed and kept off balance by hard, stiff jabbing, as shown by Morales and Marquez. He also has a cannon ball left that will be that much closer to its target with the southpaw.

It's like both could hurt and beat the other, with Pacquiao as slight, slight favourite. But you can now get Cotto at 3.65 on Betfair. Way, way too long, I think.

Agreed, 3.65 are awesome odds, I think the People who saw Manny P take out Hatton are getting carried away......

N'dou is teak tough and he has a decent workrate. Hatton is getting stopped without a doubt. Definitely not worth betting on him.

Appreciate the comments, my decision - I am gonna bet with 25% of what I had planned to back Hatton with on Hatton for a bit of fun, gonna use the rest for Cotto.

Betting on Cotto is a smarter move. He is not Ricky Hatton and I can't see Pacquiao having any easy night at all.
