Depend big time on what Sugar Shane turns up to fight and I reckon PBF will deliberately make it financially too difficlut for ta fight with Pacman to happen.
I leant towards Cotto before todays fight, but the Pac never ceases to amaze. He is a legend and easily p4p no 1 at the moment. I was amazed how well Pac took some hard shots from Cotto.

After Round one it was all Pacman, once he learnt he could take Cottos shots and stay and trade with him he never looked back. I never saw him hurt once, he took Cottos best. Amazing how the fight changed from Cotto looking to back Manny up to Manny backing Cotto up from rounds 4 onwards.

Pacman VS Mayweather is clearly the fight everyone wants now. But how about the following fights also..............

Pacman VS Amir Khan (End of 2010 perhapsafter Khan has another couple of fights? Khans chin wouldnt hold up)
Pacman VS Timothy Bradley (Would Bradley have the power to get Pacmans respect of Cotto couldnt)
Pacman VS Michael Katsidis (Katsidis can crack, but dont see him being anywhere near Pacmans level, would be a WAR while it lasted i feel)
Pacman VS Edwin Valero (at lightweight, Pacman KO3 IMO)

I think the Winner of Mosley/Berto would be a decent option BUT what about

Pacman VS Paul Williams (at welterweight??) thoughts on this fight i think its the fight no one has really mentioned i know Williams was looking to go up to Middle but if he could make Welter one last time to fight Pacman??

Williams is a huge Welter, It would be a great fight.

I read a while back that Roach didn't like the matchup with Sugar Shane. He said he thinks its the hardest fight for Pac at the moment. Which is interesting.

Manny is suited to fighting the guys who are agressive come forward type fighters, he doesnt have to go searching for them and generally they leave themselves open to being hit more. A guy like Floyd is slick enough and smart enough not to engage with Manny and make it a slugfest. I think theres every chance Manny could catch him from round 1 through 12 but i also believe Floyd is good enough to outbox him from rounds 1 through 12.

I have to agree. Mayweather's style makes it a difficult fight for Manny.

That's not to say Mayweather is a better fighter, far from it. Style's make fights and Mayweather's, off the back foot, pot shotting with single shots and tight defesive attitude wont give Manny many opennings.

Manny is the better fighter imo, but Mayweather's brand of defensive boxing is all wrong for him.

u guys all need a few days to settle down.

it wasnt pacman perfection.

manny got hit too much, stayed on the ropes too much during the middle rounds, didnt press forward enough when he had cotto in trouble, and didnt use his feet as much as he did against diaz, dlh, and hatton.

ive underestimated pacman before, so i wouldnt do it again. but imo floyd beats pacman by UD.

as if hatton was a defensive master!!...yeah cottos defense was good early on, but mayweather has one of the best defense ever seen in a ring.

these 2 spar a lot at wildcard and apparently amir holds up okay, but only coz manny goes easy on him. this would be khan v prescott v2.0. if only amir could inject some concrete into his chin.

This is all i picked up from this bout,

Mannys hands are amazing, his footwork is just brilliant he is definitely one of the best in the world and arguably an all time great. But lets look at this fight seriously, Joe Santiago proved Freddie right he is far to Green. His strategy for Manny was absolutely amateur. Why on earth would you try and out box someone as unorthodox, explosive and quick as Manny when your fighter is a boxer/counter puncher.

Cotto did not try and bully him enough (when he did you could see Manny in a vulnerable position)
Cotto didn't take him to the ropes, rather waited for him to come out of the ropes (when he was in the ropes he was in trouble)
Didn't jab enough (when he jabbed Manny Manny struggled)
Manny is not a patient fighter at all its easy to frustrate him and lure him into his old habits (you could see that when Cotto started to stick and move in survival mode)

Now Manny has to fight Mayweather because its the fight the world wants to see. But he just gave Mayweather a real & recent fight tape to watch, Floyd is a close to a perfect fighter he is very defensive but he is smart, he will frustrate Manny and take a lop sided UD victory

lets hope we get to see a PBF v Pacman fight. I think PBF will price himself out of it but I hope I am wrong..
I would love to see Pacman v Valero at lightweight...it wouldnt last long but would be exciting whilst it did.
If PBF cant be made for the next fight, I see Pacman trying to get the winner out of Mosley v Berto, and I don't think Mosley is a sure thing in this.

I've never seen anyone who hits with accuracy like Pac, although i'm what you call a Mayweather hater on pure ability Pac Wins.

I still think Oscar beat Mayweather.

On pure ability, Mayweather beats him. Boxing is about hitting and not getting hit. Maywether is a master of this. Boxing isnt all about offence. Pac is exciting and explosive but he will clumsy and akward when he cant land on Mayweather.

I've seen both fight a few times and i think Pac wins. Mayweather is the best at not getting hit, but Pac is the best I've seen with accuracy. The man hasn't fought scrubs either, Pac is knocking everyone out with punches from incredable angles and 8 punch combos the man deserves the P4P title.
If Cotto had of keeped engaging the fight was over in 7.
Now i take nothing away from mayweather I just can't see him mixing it with pac I can't see him fending of punches like he does to other fighters, and i don't think he's faced anyone as quick and powerful.

it's a fight I really want to see.
