Wow

It looked like he was KO'd by a jab - but the bloke reckons it was a left hook.

Shocking with the ease that Haye was dismissed - I think he looked very complacent back then - and probaly served him right.

I think Haye really grew up after the Carl Thompson fight - but when he was younger up until then - there is no doubt he was a smug little cocky git - who was always going to get taught a lesson.

Twite was a southpaw. It wasn't a jab - it was a huge left cross. Watch it again with your eyes open and Enzo's nuts out of your mouth

Dont get too excited Flint, he was ready to continue and was not hurt for very long. It was a rsc decision that ruins am boxing.

Some of the stoppages in amateur boxing are silly

Its boxing - its meant to be a macho sport

And I have seen stoppages happen over a couple of unanswered slaps.

I wasnt watching it with blinkers on - its just it seem liked a jab -straight to the point - rather than a looping shot like a hook.

No doubt it was a good shot

Enzos nuts in my mouth - yeah right - ------ Haye destroyed Enzo cos he was a much better all round fighter.

he was a young kid. it happens to around 99% of fighters id say. no shame in loosing a fight as a amateur.
after all there only just learning there trade at that stage.

Wow always wanted to see that one, seemed an incredible result and has been talked about for 10 years.
Glad the sun tracked it down. Bang on the chin, great punch - and when you go down twice from one punch like that, in the amateurs, or even the pros ( Zab Judah ) they're always going to stop it.

Bet Dave Haye is really pleased with the Sun, digging that out, after giving them all those exclusives.

Yes it was. I was there for both fights, and when Twite KOd Haye, it looked to me like he went down heavily, and it should have been stopped. There was the feeling ringside that the Hayemaker had just got too cocky by this time, and having beaten the England No 1 Courtney Fry in the London final, he thought that the ABA title that year was a formality. I remember standing on the stage at the back of York Hall when David walked back to his changing room and he passed the Repton coach Tony Burns who said "Unlucky son, but I think you may have learned something there."

As far as I remember, yes it is. Haye was boxing for England regularly - he took part in the 2000 Olympic qualifiers at heavyweight and of course Fraudley & Courtney Fry (both from the Repton) managed it but alas the Hayemaker didn't. 2001 was world championships year so Haye was boxing for England in that tournament and got the silver medal.

And Corrie got battered into oblivion. All Sanders managed in that fight was to back Vitali up briefly in the first round, K was never in serious trouble. Haye doesn't have a chin to stand up to the shots of Vitali.

That was a good stoppage, Haye didn't have his legs under him.

I've done more than watch boxing - I trained and sparred alot myself too.

Course I know what a straight left is - I've thrown plenty myself from a southpaw stance

I just meant my intial impression was it seemed like a jab - until someone pointed out to me he was a southpaw.
