What next for Miguel Cotto?

Post by Rocky Balboa »

After a vacation with his family & a period of rest, where does Miguel go in terms of boxing? At 29, I cannot see him retiring although that is a possibility. Cotto has made a great deal of money & seems like a sensible guy so maybe he will hang up the gloves & enjoy the fruits of his labour?

However, I reckon he will box on! Who is most likely to get the call as a comeback opponent? We should not forget that before Pacquiao, Cotto defeated Joshua Clottey, who is a very good fighter! There's not exactly a long list of guys wanting to face Clottey!

The winner of Berto-Mosley could be line!

Maybe the loser of Berto vs Mosely or Urango it will be a long way back for him to get back to the p4p level imo

Maybe he will grow himself into light middleweight and re-launch himself there.

Cotto has said he won't retire. After a good well earned rest he can still feature in some big match ups at welter and even a crack at light-middle.
