Mike Tyson
Nigel Benn
Shea Neary

Really hard to narrow it down to three. Gatti, Morales, Pacquiao, DLH, Duran, Leonard, Ali are others i'm quite fond of.

Tyson
Naz
Benn

If I had been around for SRL, Ali etc. my choices would be different but these three boxers are a big part of why I fell in love with the sport.

All time In no particular order:

Erik Morales
Marvin Hagler
Alexis Arguello

Currently fighting

JM Marquez
Manny Pacquaio
Israel Vasquez.

Homegrown:

Kevin Bennett
Michael Brodie
Jamie Moore

(Would have loved to have said Naz, because he was the most talented British fighter I've ever seen (maybe, bar Whittaker and Mayweather the most talented boxer I've seen full stop), but the guy's an absolute w@nker, so I can't bring myself to do it. Was also considering putting Lennox in the Homegrown category with the sole purpose of infuriating Terry D, but I couldn't bring myself to do it.)

These guys aren't necessarily the best, but I do love them. I don't know why. A combination of in and out of ring personality, the style with which they fight, their bravery, the number of great fights they've been involved in, the great memories they've given me through their ring performances... I don't know. I can't quite put my finger on why I always want Vasquez to win, or why I have this affinity for Erik Morales, but I loved that guy and actually felt quite upset when Pacquaio smashed him up in their third fight. Who knows, boxing does funny things.

AFTER 30 ENTRIES....(AND 2 ILLEGALS WHICH I COULD NOT INCLUDE).....YOUR FAVOURITE BOXERS ARE:

WITH 8 VOTES:

MIKE TYSON

ON 7:

NIGEL BENN

ON 6:

ROBERTO DURAN

ON 5:

RAY LEONARD
NASEEM HAMED

ON 4:

TOMMY HEARNS
MARVIN HAGLER
PERNELL WHITTAKER
LENNOX LEWIS

ON 3:

MUHAMMAD ALI
ROY JONES JUNIOR
MARCO ANTONIO BARRERA
MANNY PACQUIAO

to make it fair I couldn't count anyone that submitted over 3 (chambers and boxerbob as it would distort the figures, submit again by al means), anyone that went on to name domestics etc, after their top 3.....they too were not included. Honorary 4th places (like me), also not included.

have you seen JCC's DVD that came out last year?...You would enjoy it I think :TU:
yeah i enjoyed that DVD. "grow some balls son....." Quality.

Benn/Eubank (how can u separate the two?)

in answer to that question.....( i gave them a vote each in your case, fck it, minor infringement on my rule... :witzend: )......I went for Eubank because he was humiliated on live TV by Benn when they signed them contracts (see Youtube), yet what he said he would do....."I can punch too, I can box, I can fight, I am the better man"....he got in the rind and did exactly this, versus a man he has since admitted, "petrified him" , was expected to....and tried to bomb him to the moon!

I watched the fight on Youtube (fight 1) the other week and Eubank's boxing over the first few rounds was a joy to watch. As was the whole fight. That's why I plumped for Eubank...also I find him hugely entertaining and a complete original.
