Thanks Carlos-Wigan :box:

And ok point taken regarding Vea and Hamdan. Then again 99% of the All Blacks were born in New Zealand so perhaps we should hear the end of the "All Samoans" joke. Especially given in the current squad we have more NZ europeans playing than Polynesians!

Anyways whos in Gold Coast and wants to watch Paman VS Cotto tomorrow??? There must be at least one person?

Gotta admire Chauncy for his run. 40 days, 5 fights, 5 wins, 26 rounds, 2 KO's, avenged a draw with a near shut out 12. That's how you show people you are serious. Too bad the American Clubfight scene was not hopping with guys doing the same.

Have seen Wellivers last 3 fights, about time he stood up and fought someone of calibre. The quality of fighters in New Zealand at present are pretty poor. The crowds are down the publicity to promote an event has been next to nothing.

cjscott you make some good points. Boxing in NZ often isnt promoted well enough, unless you have Cameron or Tua fighting of course! It just doesnt capture the mainstream, and thats through a lack of quality and regular boxing on TV people dont no the boxers and therefore dont show up to support them!

In anycase I have a fairly decent card comming up in March

Chauncy Welliver (USA/NZ) VS TBA (possible Title Fight)
Jameson Bostic (USA) VS TBA
Matt Sweeny (USA) VS TBA
Clarence Tillman (USA) VS TBA
Gary "The Baboon" Gurr VS Sam Barton

Bit of a US VS NZ night obviously TBA is in action alot but the slots should be filled be the new year the rest of the show will see North Shore VS South Auckland Semi-Pro fights so should be a good night!

I have 2 boys ready to go and both around 72kg to 74kg.1 boy has had 8fights and the other is ready for his first fight when ever the first fights of the season start. :bag:

Having been to the ABA several times this year i wonder if you would be able to tell me how the points system works for amateur boxers at the ABA.Not sure how the system works but i didnt think they had majority results any more..Do you belong to the ABA..

Perfect, if you give me both there names i can submitt them to be matched. Your boy whos making his debut can fight a boy of ours shows had 3 corp fights but no amateur fights. Do you have any corporate guys?

In regards to the scoring system i dont belong to the ABA so cannot comment on how it works. Majority decisons seem strange to me ??

Well he has turned amatuer no problems so i wouldnt believe everything you here. The corporates are for guys who are to old to be amatuer or not experienced enough to turn pro. Guys who just wanna have a few fights to say they have done it and if they are ypoung enough and wanna get serious then they turn amateur or pro
