Khaliq?

Post by Goz »

What is with that guy?

34 and not fought since February 2004. I thought he shifted quite a few tickets in Nottingham, was quite a crowd pleaser, strange he hasn't fought in a year?

I was wondering myself what had happened to him as well, i would imagine he is as good as retired these days.

Yeah, when Forrest lost to Mayorga, Jawid stood out as the best world champion out there - who was there for him left to fight. The highly anticipated Forrest match was then a no gower and as for that overated Mayorga, no point going through the motions.

Khaliq was certainly no world beater but was arguably the best Welter on the country…

Khaliq weren't a bad fighter. I wouldn't mind seeing him in the ring with Spinks. A dull fight but one for the purists.
