Timeline / expectations etc.
May I ask if anyone is already, is currently 'training' to become, or any feedback at all, really.
I'm an East London resident so a hotbed of amateur shows/clubs exist, so am considering it.
Does anyone have anything to offer this particular subject?
Please.

I was thinking about going into refereeing aswell, but I did'nt have the time to devote to this. I attach a link which is contains some useful information. Get in touch with your BBBoC area secretaries and they can provide you with more information.Srebmun wrote:Timeline / expectations etc.

Does anyone know if you have to be a qualified ref to be a judge? Or can you specalise in just being a judge?

I remember hearing Steve Holdsworth talk about there being a '100 year waiting list' for people who want to
become BBB of C referees and judges. Nice work if you can get it though!
Ask Paul Thomas!

I enquired myself, but was informed the same thing. It's a long long long process too before you get anywhere near any decent professional fights.Carlos-Wigan wrote:I remember hearing Steve Holdsworth talk about there being a '100 year waiting list' for people who want to

You also have to be an accredited A-star ref i think it is, to be a judge - which sucks.

Cheers lads - ra2006, have been reading tons of stuff online, incl' the link to the BBBofC, but thanks. Time is not important really as it's not a career ambition, just for love of the sport so putting in the time wouldn't be a problem.
I'll see how it goes.

Not a problem mate, good luck with it, even though the sports needs good fighters the same thing can be said for the guys who run the show in the ring.Srebmun wrote:Cheers lads - ra2006, have been reading tons of stuff online, incl' the link to the BBBofC, but thanks.
