mayweather vs pacquaio - who wins ??

Who wins ?

Mayweather wins. Pac, even with his speed, would find it difficult to hit him. I sense Pac is getting a bit undisciplined with Roach i.e. that unsanctioned rope-a-dope in the Cotto fight - he wouldnt get away with making those mistakes with Mayweather.

Mayweather at the moment, but Pacquiao is pretty good at proving people wrong. Pacman can probably take Mayweather into deeper water than he's been in for a long, long time. In my opinion, that's why Mayweather doesn't want the fight. Not because he thinks he'll lose, but because he knows it will be tough.

I think mayweather will school pacquaio. Cotto is tough nut, but he lacks the craft and guille of mayweather and I think the margarito fight took a lot of his confidence. Pacquaio performed well, but mayweather is an altogether different prospect. Styles make fights and I think that mayweather stops a lot of things that pacquaio has got away with in his last three or four fights. Pacquiao has done well recently, bit if you look objectively at his results of late, they don't deserve the god like status that is being conferred upon him. De la hoya was well shot, Diaz is average and made for pacquaio. Hatton was always short at the very highest level and took too much qudos from the tyszu fight IMO and cotto, like Diaz was made for pacquiao. I predicted that pacquiao would win all four fights, the only suprise being that he stopped hstton so early and downed cotto early in their fight, the rest didn't suprise me at all and I would be quite shocked if people put cotto to win that last fight. Mayweather however is a little different and he beats pacquaio by a unanimous decision IMO

Can't post the link here, but, in an interview on that "hype" site, Mosley says Pac would KO Floyd. He doesn't rate Floyd's chin and thinks Manny could do a number on him.

I will say, though, that some of the reasons people think Manny may have success v Floyd, i think would be irrelevant in the context of the way Floyd will approach Manny.

it has been said and rightly so that Floyd's rolling shell defence is not as effective either against fighters with fast hands, or southpaws, as it is against mere mortals

for me though Floyd showed in the Judah fight- when he was getting caught a little offbalance and moving the wrong way at the wrong time- the versatility to adapt.

he ended up walking Judah down behind a high guard, and if pac's fast hands and southpaw stance give him any problems i would expect him to do the same

IF he actually gets into the ring. much as i would like to think otherwise, i do believe what the earlier poster said about floyd's risk-averseness, and that even if he thinks he may win he may not even want so much as a tough fight.

hopefully, the potential money to be made will overcome that?

Beating Hattna and a drained DLH is not enough - arguably Cotto was damaged - but that is his only impressive win in hos last 4 starts if you ask me.


Pac stayed away from JMM for years after their fight, he would get schooled by PBF.

Pac man has improved no end since his fights with JMM and beyond a joke since his first 20 fights.

He has shown that he can fight different against other fighters and has beat defensive types well before, ok Mayweather's great at defensive boxing but think Pac will be more patient then all other boxers Mayweather has fought. He will also be too quick for Mayweather to catch him with his counters effectively.

I think if the ref and judges are fair then I think Pac man would win on points.

Lets face it Ricky gave Mayweather enough trouble and Mayweather couldn't knock Marquez out so I doubt if he will be able to knock Pac Man out considering what punches he took from Cotto.

So basically Mayweather Snr is saying he thinks Manny is cheating with steroids and drugs which gets him the wins against naturally bigger men. He therefore doesnt want his son to take the fight and be beaten, although he beleives his son is the better man. Could this be true, is Pacman cheating?

Who wins? I pick Mayweather on points BUT you can't write Manny off here, Manny fights with the sort of intensity which Floyd has never come up against before. Floyd will have to fight the best fight he's ever fought in order to win this.
