Surely Manny should be considering legal action over this, if at least 3 people involved in boxing are accusing him of juicing.

If more fighters followed his example boxing would be much the better for it. This is a real cheap shot from Paulie.

I am beginning to seriously dislike Paulie. That rant after the Diaz fight sounded suss if you ask me -- knew he was fighting in the other lad's home town & had a script ready if it went to the cards. If he had enough energy to act like that, why didn't he have the energy to move out of the way when his head was going back like a Pez dispenser every single time Diaz hit him? Mardy git that he is.

Anyway, sorry, back on topic a touch: the most hurt I've ever seen PacMan (bar what Singsurat & Torrecampo did to him) was here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVStmLCoH30#t=0m35s

He took it well, but the way his legs did a little dance when that left hook landed makes me wonder just what will happen -- fighting at a better weight for him or not -- if Floyd ever gets to counter him after he misses. Scratch that, when Floyd counters him after he misses...

Floyd has many great qualities, but weight of punch does not factor amongst them for me. Even when he does counter with speed and great timing he rarely shakes his opponent, especially not in these higher weight divisions.

Floyd might have too much speed and skill for Pac Man when they meet, but I doubt very much he has the weight of shot to shake him up or stop him...

Paulie is out of order. You can't make an accusation like that, and then not back it up.

I'm going to start a counter rumour that Paulie likes men because he plucks his eyebrows and wears hair extensions.

Malignaggi and Floyd sr are just morons and need to STFU especially SR when i'd say his son is far more likely to have taken them from the difference in muscle bulk from 2007 to 2009

as for anyone else on here who is alluding to it, shame on you...put down those doughnuts you're stuffing in your face and run round the block a few times and you may understand what a real top athlete like Pacman has to do in order to be in that condition!

Pacman is a once in a lifetime athlete but he's got there through very hard work and discipline, great tactics from his trainer and having natural physical strength.

Mayweather just says guys are taking steroids when he doesn't want to fight them. He said the exact same thing about Mosley.

Basically, anyone who is good enough to be in Floyd's league is on steroids in his mind, everyone except himself.

I love the way you lot are nut hugging pacman.

Would it surprise you if you found out he was on drugs? Mr Nice Guy Mosley took drugs ffs...so it's entirely plausible that a near primitive thinking fighter like Pac would.

Not saying he has, but questions DO need to be asked about the way he obliterated Cotto.

That pace was frightening.

I think Floyd has more power than is evident - he just doesn't use it very often.

I rewatched the pac cotto fight the other night, and Manny's movemen was superb. He was constant motion, he was never static for one second of the fight, bobbing left and right and he moved his head all the time.

I think Pacman will give Mayweather serious difficulties.

because marquez is about 10 times better than cotto.

and manny gets an advantage when weight drained fighters like cotto and DLH move down in weight,.

malignaggi is just an absolute stinker, with no fans outside NY, who used to gte HBO dates because his promoter used to run HBO's boxing program. he's upset because fighters like pac have the marketability to get the advantage (i.e. weight). whereas fighters like malignaggi have to weaken themselves in catchweights so their opponent can get the advantage. stinkers like paulie (aka "slick master boxers") have no leverage for big fights, not after dreadful showings vs n'dou and hatton.

Class web-site! Every single last one of those Guidos on there would class Rocky as their hero, religion and favourite film.

I don't know a lot about steroids, but ive seen 18 stone raging bouncers dropped by skinny kids so i don't think they help your chin out. I think Manny is just a truly special fighter and Malignaggi has always talked bollox about everything, i remember his BS before the Hatton fight, you would of thought he was the next Roy Jones but then he went out and fought like Roy Cropper. I also wouldn't listen to a word any of the Mayweather's have to say, idiots the lot of them.

Watched them just now, christ he looked so frail at those weights, one of the body shots that put him down really didn't look very hard he has certainly taken far bigger ones since.
His second KO loss in Thailand was the one where he failed to make weight and got dehydrated. When he got stripped of his title after failing the 2nd weigh-in, his team said Pacquiao cried but no tears fell as he was so dry. After that Pacquiao moved up 10 lbs to the 122lb division. That was a massive weight to cut.

Bingo.

'Roids didn't help Mosley when he got hit by Forrest's right hands in their first fight, they certainly didn't do anything for Vargas's chin vs. De La Hoya.

If we're talking strength & speed then yes, I can see a basis for casting aspersions, but chin? No frigging way. Otherwise Andrsjez Golota would have had the best chin in all of history.

Well I'm sure he's been tested shedloads and if you ask me I'm more inclined to question a guy who drops loads of weight to make a division than one who over time gradually adds weight and in doing so boosts his performance.

Never understood why fighters/trainers are shocked when a guy who's dropped two-stone suddenly gets his ass kicked when it catches up with him. Just stupid IMO.

Pacquiao's just a phenomenonal fighter, full stop. He lives the life and punishes his body to make sure he's at his best every time he steps into the ring. He doesn't go on a six-week bender lashing it up after every and then spend the first half of his fight preparation just boiling in the bag... like some fighters we know.

And when doesn't Paulie talk utter crap?

weight-drained vs non-weight-drained pacquiao maybe? the guy who faced Marquez was having to drain from 145ish (or maybe even more) down to 126/130. draining = less fluid in body. less fluid in body = less fluid surrounding brain = getting affected more by punches. maybe?

datsue/ James mac- re floyd's power. he saves his hands, just in case. physical symptom of his overall caution, I would say. the only time he is really likely to let his hands go, IMO, is when he is desperate enough to be forced into it

given a choice he'd rather get the easy-ish UD than so much as risk hand trouble in the ring, IMO.
