Primetime question (again).

Post by stujones »

I'm just kind of hoping there are some people involved with primetime who can answer this question.

It looks like I have set my Sky+ to record the boxing, but last time the start time kept changing. I was scheduled to start at 7, then at 7 moved to 9 - then 9.15 and I think it eventually started at 9.30. I will not be in to watch it, so I am relying on my Sky+ to tape it all, any advice?

On a similar note.... the weather has been f'ing terrible recently and I am worry it will fail to record. Will there be compensation if this happens?

Stu, can't help with the Sky+ bit, but I always record straight to my DVD recorder and set the start time early and the finish time very late.

I think so... well its saying it will record it on my Sky+ anyway.

You will need a phone line connected to set up the Sky+, but then I think you can take off the phone line... once the order has been prossesed by Sky.

Yep, i just selected box office, sports, then set to record.

Bit concerning there was no "this event is £5.95 press to confirm purchase" or anything.

It went straight through - hopefully because im already registered.

Any non-registered people attempted to buy it this way yet and does it forbid the sale ?

I'd say go the the channel on the sky menu, select it, then scroll though any programmes listed on primetime from 12am onwards, and press the record button for each...that should record any movements of the start time.
The weather issue is a tricky one, hard to prove, but I'd imagine they're in the business of building up good customer relations at this early stage, so you'd likely get a result if your dish gets struck by lightning tonight Stu.
I'm hoping my slightly unsteady astra dish holds up for the German show tonight, as it's stormy out there right now.

I purchased the Kessler show by connecting the phone line to the box, then ordering it on the remote, having registered last time.
I've taken off phone line now, and it's still showing on the Sky+ record menu....so can't think why the signal should not be sent at 12, as the sevice has registered my order...

Is this fight being shown live anywhere on Hotbird or Astra?

Couldn't see it on the german channels, I though it might be as he's signed to a German promoter now, and not sure if there's any Danish channels on there.
