then answer the queations.....
1....why was kt a 1/3 fav to beat hatton , was it because he kayoed zab judah in 2???
2....did hatton land a punch just before collazo went down???
3....did the judges score the round 10-8 or 10-9
end of argument

He actually got a lot of criticism for having Mickey Vann as the ref in nearly all his W.B.U boutsDG. wrote:Hatton was a good fighter, but only because he went to 40-0 and only ever had 1 real test.
AND he had DAVE 'Bent as they come' Parrish as the ref!
Path of least resistance has come back to bite him in his bottom!![]()
If he went the way most fighters did - clearing up UK and Europe (Witter!!)we would not have heard much about him.
Pampered Fwank Warren puppet and when he really steps up he gets crushed like
no one ges crushed.
PBF does not know people out AND Pac took 9 rounds to beat Diaz and Diaz was not
knocked out quickly as Hatton.

Yes it does. Theres a limit on how long and how much training a human body can take before it burns out. Thats why you dont see elite fighters training for a year for a fight
Although Ricky can start running right now if he wanted to. Ive heard running dont really take that much out of you and it keeps your condition and your weight in check.
Re: Ricky Hatton speaks officially about his plans
Ah DG I have missed your objectivity on all matters Richard Hatton!
Facts are:
1. He is a 2 weight world champ
2. He beat a legend in Tsyzu fair and square and did it the hard way by going toe-to-toe
3. KT was not passed it and about 80-90% of boxing fans, writers etc etc though Ricky would get not just beaten but badly beaten.
4. Castillo - was thought of as a threat before the fight
5. Collazo - it was a KD and Ricky won the fight, close but he won
6. Malignaggi - a lot of people were 50/50 on this, fact of the matter Ricky slaughtered him in a fashion no-one has managed, even Cotto.
7. He was/is a truly world class fighter and at his peak was in the p4p top 10.
Now a bit of balance:
1. Hatton's punch resistance is no where near as good as it was.
2. He has lost both times since he stepped up to 'elite' level.
3. His habits between fights are not ideal (although who am I to judge).
For me, Hatton has doen great things for British boxing and deserves to be lauded not constantly shot down. He had genuine cross over appeal and provided many nights of excitement.
I for one hope he retires but I tell you what if he fights Marquez and Khan I for one will be there like a shot.

Re: Ricky Hatton speaks officially about his plans
Still though Kostya was 37 and his work rate was half of what it was when he was younger. At the time Hatton could swarm opponents with body shots and uppercuts.
Castillo had had a lot of hard fights and has always had weight issues before he foght Hatton. He has the wats with Corrales that must have took a lot out of him.
Hatton to me never looked good after he left Warren and his made to measure opponents. He has always tread very carefully until he has had to face certain people. And he was out classed twice.
I agree that Hatton has never really been an A level fighter. A great European fighter that went furthur than he should of maybe.
Oh and there is no doubting that Ricky was very lucky in the Collazo fight, for a fighter who claims to be a certain level he should not have struggled as he did.

Whether or not you think it was a knockdown is irrelevant, fact is if the ref calls a knockdown then it's official, all the record books will say it.DG. wrote:He did not knock collazo down. Re: Ricky Hatton speaks officially about his plans
I cant ever see ricky hatton boxing khan unless he changes promoters as i read that hatton states he will never work with warren again also why would hatton go back the way as he can get big money fights if he came back but dont forget he is now a promotor himself so that may give him the boxing buzz that he missing i do wish him all the best for his future as he been a credit to brittish boxing and raised the barr in manchester
