He held at times like every fighter, but he was also was exploding with quick shots that had Kessler retreating constantly through the contest, and he was always keeping his jab working to the head and body. He boxed a perfect fight.
He was very dangerous with his head work, mate.

Kessler had it all to do. He was up against a guy in his hometown, fighting a guy in a tourney where American fighters haven't fared so well (so far), the ref was pretty poor and his opponent was reckless with his head...quite often...

and

Kessler also fought like sh@t and would have most likely lost anyways to be honest.

On to the next match.

I completely agree with you. And regarding the referee, have a look here: http://boxrec.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p ... 2#p2147062

Don't be a girl, just pointing out Kessler landed nothing to win those rounds. I was very surprised to see two people gave him the rounds.[/quote]

Great, cheers for that - still wont change that he (kessler) won the first 2.....

IN MY OPINION

The thing I'm most interested to see is what Dirrell does when Abraham explodes. :o
Why? Is that his secret "up, down, left, right, circle, square, triangle, cross" move?

It makes me laugh imagining a little smurf looking bloke exploding and taking out most of the arena.

I think this result may convince Taylor to stay in the tournament, he now has a World title fight as his next fight. I dont see Ward as a nightmare style for Taylor either like Abraham was.

Ward will go into the fight with Taylor as the favourite but I actually think Taylor will give him more problems than Kessler managed to.

yeah, what a story that would be for Taylor. Everybody writing him off after the Abraham fight and could be a World Champion in his next fight. He has a chance, a very good chance, styles make fights and Wards style might suit Taylor and he doesn't have to worry about his chin as much.

Its worth pointing out also that Arthur Abraham vs Dirrell is set for the 23rd of January in the USA. Froch fights Abraham in round 3, I have a feeling Abraham will be waiting around quite a while for his fight with Froch. I dont expect Kessler v Froch to be made until late February at the earliest.
