Nice to see Sports Network pushing Jamie Arthur. Some might disagree but I think it is a good match up.

Jamie Arthur will meet fellow Commonwealth Games gold medallist Haider Ali in Bridgend on 21 January.
Arthur took lightweight gold in the 2002 games in Manchester, where Ali won the featherweight medal.
"Ali beat Peter Ashton, who is a friend and was my team-mate at the Commonwealth Games, so this is a must win fight for me," said Arthur.
"I watched him throughout the Games and felt he was a tremendous fighter - probably the best there."
Arthur has won all nine of his fights since turning professional, but has been troubled by cuts and has not been in action since September.
Ali won his first three fights after turning professional in May 2003, but lost his last outing to Steven Bell, a six-round points decision in May last year.
The bout will be on the undercard of Enzo Maccarinelli's WBU cruiserweight defence against Rich LaMontagne at the Bridgend Leisure Centre.
Welsh fighters Gary Lockett, Tony Doherty and Barrie Jones will also feature, whilst Swansea heavyweight Darren Morgan and Newbridge middleweight Kerry Hope will make their professional debuts.

I was thinking about Haider Ali the other day and for some reason thought he had packed it up and moved back to Pakistan. 
Apparently his pro debut at the York Hall was a bit of a stinker (for a potential prospect anyway), and he never really seems to have got going in the pro game. I saw him on the first fight of the night at Harrison - Medina 2, where he went hell for leather with Jus Wallie. Both traded heavily from round 1 but neither really managed to truly enforce and dominate themselves over the other. I think Ali got cut, and I think it was by the second round (sorry, going from memory). He did manage to drop Wallie, who had to cover up for a bit. But on the whole it was a pretty nonchalant and unremarkable performance/contest.
I wasn't surprised when SN put him in with Bell when they had just about the same amount of matchups. It was one of those fights to see who is going where, and it was needed. I think this fight with Arthur determines his career. I would not like to see him become a journeyman because of his 'unorthodox' hands-down style, as he gets hit too much already. If he loses to Arthur he should pursue other options in life, IMO.
As for the fight itself: Arthur wins 5 rounds to one even.

Haider is from Pakistan as far as I know too, which doesn't count for much :)
As for a fight with Arthur, should be quite competitive but I see Jamie taking a points win, unless Ali has improved his effectivess hugely. If Bell can beat him so too should Arthur.
