Sam vs Clay-Bey, Valuev vs Levin (February 12th in Berlin)

a step back for Sam and a step forward for Valuev?

what do you guys think?

I would say it is a side step for Sam, Clay-Bey is okay. Might not be as good as the guy's Sam has lost to but (except for Williams) is better than anyone he has beaten.

Levin looked very poor vs Williams and I once rated the Swede. He looks like he's just going through the motions. I would say again its a side step as opposed to a step forward.

Both are interesting fights.

I've seen Clay bey vs Etienne...Clay bey was a very good amateur, and has great skills and potential...unfortunatly he has a very soft body and doesnt seem to come very well trained or motivated...

Saying Clay-Bey has a soft-body is a bit like saying Jenna Jameson isn't a virgin.

Clay-Bey is arguably one of the bigggest under-achievers of the modern era.

Even out of shape he's been tooo good for half a dozen fringe contenders.

But he's ageing now, almost 40, and I suspect the Sam camp have seenenough errosion to take the fight.

Its a goo don paper win if Sam wins.

But, as usual, I like to see Clay-Bey do it.

I've liked him since the Etienne fight.

Could be a banana skin for Sam, he's not exactly wayne sleep in the footwork department. As you say, they probably reckon Cley-Bey is finished, but he might do a Gomez on him.

it will be shown on ARD (German free TV) live and as usually later on at Eurosporti.

well if Clay bey stays into the ropes doing nothing like he did against Etienne, he will go down for sure...Sam has a way bigger punch than Etienne

IF Sam kept his form as he has shown vs Bakhtov (IMO the best fight in heavy 2004 -worldwide-) he would KO anybody except Vitali. he was world champion at the amateurs and will do the same this or next year if he folows the track he has beeen going since March 2004.

Cley-Bey is stupid, if he had got himself motivated and into better shape throughout his career then he could be a real Heavyweight contender especially in this era of weak champions. He fought against Etienne on the Lewis-Tua undercard if i remember correctly, he boxed well off the back foot but the busier Etienne took the decision on his better workrate, the story of Cley-Bey's career...he has the skills and has badly underachieved.

Sam will clobber Cley-Bey into submission in about 6 or 7. The guy is never in shape!
