Simpson/Bell - December 5th - Any Views

Post by GlobalBox »

Decent little fight this one, I really like Simpson and am looking forwad to him and Lindsay getting into it next year some time but could Bell derail that.

Seen a little of Bell but not enough to form much of an opinion other than he is going to be a big lad at Featherweight if he can make the weight that is.

Anyone got any views on this one be interested to know, spoke to a guy the other day who shall remain nameless but from the game (as it were) and he fancies Bell big time, I know he was a top amateur but not overly impressive as a pro or so i thought

Belly is a huge featherweight and is gonna use that size and height advantage to school Simpson!! Simpson is tough and a vry good fighter BUT I just feel Belly's time is now and he's gonna take this opportunity with both hands!!

Is there any bias in there Tony or do you genuinely believe that he will school him, Couple of things you can answer, can he do the weight ok and how bad was the cut he picked up against Coveney back in September.

Just remember seeing a few of the rounds against Fehintola I think it was and I did not see enough there to beat Simpson although styles are different I guess.

IMO Bell has done nothing to deserve a title fight, he is more interested in acting than boxing and for that reason I hope he loses handidly.

it depends on how john simpson boxes if its the one that beat andy morris up i think he will walk through steve bell. bell doesnt have the power to hold john off and john is a very aggresive fighter. bell will have to be up to his sexy boxing as he calls it but i wouldnt write bell off he still has a good chance cos he is a smart boxer bell

Well, it's the commonwealth, not exactly a difficult belt to get a chance to fight for these days, although I do agree with your point as a general point.

IE it shouldn't be this easy to geta title challenge, but these days it easy, so we live with it!

But yeah , a decent match.

Simpson should take this- i'd hope so- an honest pro, who deserves a few good pay days soon.
