Amir Khan

In training: Amir Khan

Amir Khan has hit back at world super-middleweight champion Carl Froch over claims he is a 'boring' fighter with poor tactics.

WBA light-welterweight champion Khan, who faces Dmitry Salita in Newcastle a week tomorrow, said: 'Froch is very bitter. My fights are miles more exciting than his and I am a better person than him.

'Pound for pound, I am a better fighter than Froch even though I'm still only 22.'

I'd agree Khan is the better talent, pound-for-pound, but there's absolutely no question that Froch as achieved more so far.

Its a shame there is 2 stone between these guys - there seems to be some real needle building up and could have lead to a really good fight!

froch may talk crap alot of the time.. but amir khan is a complete turd. khan is a really boring fighter he has to hit and run so nobody lands a jab on his china chin. never mind the fact that he makes out kotelnik was a genuine champ. and also that salita is a worthy opponent. dimitry is a bum. the stuff that comes out of khan's mouth is halarious.

Khan is a plonker.

Well i suppose whilst he is doing these interviews, he is not out mowing people down in his 4x4 on pelican crossings, jumping red lights, doing 50 in a 30 or trying to break the landspeed record in his BMW on the motorway.

all these bold claims about doing this and doing that.

"i scored the fight with the sound muted and i won by 3 or 4 rds"

u turned the sound off cos they were telling the truth bignose. :OhYes:

I'm a fan of Carl Froch (& Amir Khan for that matter), but he is the last person on Earth that should be denegrating another fighter for poor tactics.

Trust me, it's more like the 8th time.

He's been in The Sun, The Times, the Mirror, The daily mail and also a video interview with BS.

Plus scores of sites have copied the quotes and put them out too.

Give Khan a chance... He's in recent times he's had a dull one against Kotelnik and the Barrera one never had the chance to get going, but you can hardly say he's dull to watch. The Gomez, Limond fights were exciting to watch.

Froch vs Pascal was an explosive fight of the year winner last year.... However, I didn't think the Taylor fight, aside from the last round drama, was particularly gripping and the Dirrell fight was generally labelled one of the dullest titles fights in recent years (I personally found that fight "interesting"). Although I quite like cat and mouse style fights.

Lets see Khan continue to adapt under Roach before we labell him as "dull".

Khan shouldnt concern himself with Froch. He has more talent, probably more money and isnt shown on obscure channels when he fights

How on earth can Froch talk about lack of tactics. Block punches with his face, defend like a homeless James Toney and load up hadokens is what froch does fight after fight

The day Froch gets knocked out I'm taking the day off and I will tape and rewatch it over and over and over and over

The Gomez and Limmond fights were exciting for the wrong reasons for Amir, thats why he'll stick to safety first for his next few fights. I think he'll open up on Salita, who isnt very good, in the second half of the fight and look good forcing a stoppage. but against a top 5 light welter he'll pat pat move... which is fine, but dull as dishwater. Luckily for the watching public Salita isnt top 5.
